Harley is torn between the two loves of her life as Mallet and Gus each make a case for why he’s the one to best protect her in the wake of her prison escape. But Harley’s heart belongs to Gus and Mallet is forced to let her go, sacrificing himself to the authorities to give them time to escape. Meanwhile, Buzz learns of the bus crash and arrives at the site to hear that Harley is dead. Mallet is desperate to get the truth to him but can’t risk it without blowing Harley’s cover. Later, the authorities take Mallet away and Buzz is left to grieve. Lizzie tells Coop that she’s going to be going away for six months. Coop doesn’t want to see her go and is getting up the nerve to admit that when Alan arrives with her party invitation. Hoping to protect her from Alan, Coop changes his tune and bluntly pushes her to go away, so she’ll be far away from Alan. Later, as a hurt Lizzie deals with his apparent rejection, Alan delights in discovering that Harley didn’t survive the bus crash. In San Cristobel, Cassie and Edmund learn that Alonzo will see them about Will. But when their celebration takes a romantic turn, Cassie pulls back, afraid to get close to this man she still doesn’t trust. Later, however, it seems Cassie’s been set up when she’s kidnapped before Dinah’s eyes. Dinah decides not to tell Edmund about Cassie’s abduction. Reva is flustered by her kiss with Nate, wanting to both explore and put a stop to what’s going on between them. But, Nate’s nonchalant attitude towards their unique relationship turns Reva on more than it turns her off.
