Gus and Harley hit New York, looking for the man they saw on a Spaulding security tape. They’re unaware, however, that Alan has also come to New York to meet with that very man. Alan and the man, Wallace, meet to conclude their business and narrowly miss an encounter with Gus and Harley. Later, Alan boards a plane back for Springfield, confident that he’s silenced Wallace’s threats of blackmail as Gus and Harley begin to lose hope. Unable to find a hotel that matches the stationary logo, all looks lost for Harley until Gus sees the Brooklyn Bridge and realizes they’ve been searching in the wrong place. Cassie and Edmund decide to paint furniture for the nursery and grow closer. Cassie confesses to Edmund that she needs him back in her life full time but only if he promises there’s nothing else that will ever cause her to lose faith in him again. Edmund swears there isn’t just as Dinah tells Ross about Edmund’s role in Cassie losing Will. Dinah plays Ross a tape that she secretly recorded while in the van to DC that clearly incriminates Edmund. Ross reprimands her actions and questions Dinah’s love for Edmund causing a heartbroken Dinah to run away in tears. After, Dinah manages to trap Jeffrey and Cassie in an elevator together. The sexual tension runs high in the elevator as Dinah goes to Edmund to try to blackmail him in exchange for her secrecy. But when Cassie returns, the conversation is broken and Dinah finds herself once again standing on the outside. Danny helps Marina send a bounty hunter who’s looking for Harley in the wrong direction. After, she confesses she came to Chicago because of her fears about Michelle, and Danny reveals he was helping Buzz by trying to lay a false trail for Harley. Marina’s relieved and insists she be included. Later, the two find themselves alone in a hotel room.
