Guiding Light: Friday June 10, 2005

Gus and Harley are newly energized, realizing the mystery man who may know who killed Phillip is staying somewhere near the Brooklyn Bridge. They locate his hotel but upon arrival, discover he’s out. As they debate their next move, they’re recognized by federal agents who have already seized their ice cream truck and are forced to run on foot through the streets of Brooklyn. They dash into a building that looks like a warehouse only to find themselves backstage at a soap opera! As Edmund and Cassie grow closer, Dinah realizes the clock is ticking on revealing Edmund’s deceit to Cassie. With tape recorder in hand, she prepares to give it to Cassie but she is waylaid and accidentally switches purses with Tammy. Later, when she finally retrieves her own purse, she is devastated to learn that Sandy has unknowningly taped over her treasured confession. Reva is furious when Nate tells her that Jonathan has been selling date rape drugs, and when she sees Tammy and Jonathan together, she reams Jonathan. Jonathan empties his pockets for Reva but when a bag full of pills falls out, he realizes he’s been set up. Later, after an angry Reva insults Jonathan and takes off, Nate comes forward and tells Jonathan he did this so his son could see what Reva really thought of him. Nate drives home his point that he’s the only one Jonathan can trust and Jonathan buys his father’s lies. Danny and Marina spend the night in Chicago but she’s still not ready to fully commit to him. The pull is strong for both of them, and they get closer, unaware that Sebastian has come to Chicago and discovered their ruse.
