Guiding Light: Friday June 24, 2005

Gus and Harley try to get to Wallace as Sebastian attempts to silence him for good. Later, Gus and Harley are horrified to see that Wallace is dead. It’s assumed that he died from his injuries but an unseen syringe in a nearby wastebasket reveals that it was Sebastian who finished the job. Gus and Harley are unaware that prior to his death, Wallace wrote Gus a note pointing to Alan as the shooter that a hospital nurse found and pocketed. Back at the soap opera set, Harley tells Gus she wants to gather the kids and flee for good and the two begin to make desperate, passionate love. Meanwhile, Alan informs Mallet that he arranged for his release. Mallet questions Alan’s generosity and Alan makes it clear he wants Mallet to find Harley and get her away from Gus. Mallet scoffs at this, but later, he is on his way to New York City. Meanwhile, Alan spots Gus and Harley on TV while on the soap opera set and heads for New York also. With Jeffrey’s encouragement, Cassie goes to Edmund, wanting to settle some important issues but he’s still not willing to let her go. He suggests that Cassie’s only attraction to Jeffrey stems from his resemblance to Richard. She vehemently denies but later, when she returns to Jeffrey, she accidentally calls him Richard! Nate reveals to Reva that he heard her confession the night he was drunk and knows how she feels about him. He wants to spend the night together but when he pulls her into a passionate kiss, Reva holds back and leaves the room. Jonathan arrives to warn Nate to leave Reva alone but when Nate refuses, Jonathan punches his father. Reva walks in on this and immediately takes Nate’s side. Jonathan lashes out over his mother’s distrust of him and pulls out a switchblade.
