In the soap studio, Harley stares up in shock at Mallet while Gus lies bleeding in her arms. Though she is desperate to save him, Mallet manages to pull her away, leaving Gus in the care of a NYPD cop. Meanwhile, a hidden Alan is just as stunned to see Mallet but is whisked away from the scene by a newly arriving Sebastian. Thinking that he was the one responsible for sending Mallet after Gus, Alan’s guilt begins to consume him and he intrigues Sebastian when he begins ranting about killing both of his sons. Later, realizing that Alan has lost both his sons, Sebastian makes a surprising suggestion that he could assume the role of Alan’s son. Meanwhile, Mallet takes Harley to a seedy New York hotel room where she screams at him and blames him for shooting Gus deliberately. Mallet tries to explain but Harley never gives him the chance until he finally blurts out that Gus is alive! At the same time, a very much alive Gus overpowers the cop watching him and makes his getaway as Mallet reveals to Harley the plan he and Gus came up with to distract the police and give Harley a chance to escape. Cassie discovers Jonathan with Dinah and for a brief moment, Dinah fears that Jonathan will spill the beans about her having lost the baby. But, Jonathan keeps Dinah’s secret, leaving Dinah to keep up the charade with Cassie. Meanwhile, Reva returns to Outskirts, armed with the knowledge that Jonathan’s adoptive father is alive. She tells Jonathan her news, unaware that he continues to conspire with the enemy, Nate.
