After Robbie tells her that she can't go to the premiere of Ashton Kutcher's new movie because she has to stay home and study, Miley is convinced to sneak out of the house and go to the premiere by Lilly and Oliver. Little does she know though that Jackson has the exact same idea except he's going to meet girls. Once they get there, both Miley and Jackson are surprised to see their dad there, and get an even bigger surprise when they realize that he's on a date with a real estate agent named Margo Diamond. Miley is extremely upset that Robbie would even try to replace her mother that died three years ago, so she decides to go down to the real estate agent's office dressed as Hannah Montana to try to find out a little bit about this lady their dad is dating.

Miley likes this really cute boy, Josh, that goes to her school. She just can't find the nerve to ask him out though, and she is thrilled when Josh asks her out on a date. At first, Robbie isn't happy because Josh is in ninth grade and Miley is only in eighth, but he eventually agrees to let Miley go. But when Miley discovers that Josh hates Hannah Montana, she has to figure out a way to convince him to like Hannah Montana. While talking to Lilly and Oliver on a way to get him to like Hannah, Josh comes up and says that he's going to give Hannah Montana a chance and he got tickets for a concert. How will Miley be able to go on the date with Josh while also performing on stage? Meanwhile, Jackson has a problem with Cooper's not so innocent little sister that has just returned from boarding school and is looking for a little fun.

5 :01x05 - It's My Party, And I'll Lie If I Want To (Apr/21/2006)
Lilly doesn't hit things off too well with some of Hannah's friends backstage before a Hannah Montana concert. Later, when Miley finds out about a party for a famous celebrity, but Lilly desperately wants to go, Miley decides to lie and tell Lilly that the party was canceled to save herself some public embarrassment. But even with all of Miley's attempts to keep Lilly from discovering, Lilly eventually finds out that Miley did go to the party and Miley has to tell Lilly the real reason why she lied to her. Meanwhile, Rico plays a trick on Jackson by paying a girl to pretend that she is in beauty school, and that she likes Jackson, with the end result being that she shaves off all of Jackson's hair saying that she's practicing. But when the girl discovers how nice Jackson really is, they both plot to get back at Rico.

6 :01x06 - Grandma Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Favorites (Apr/28/2006)
Miley as Hannah Montana is in rehearsal for her command performance for the queen's granddaughter when her grandmother calls and tells them that she is on her way to their house for a surprise visit. When she gets there though, she seems to ignore Miley and only pay attention to Jackson. Miley tries to figure out a way to get her grandmother to notice her, but nothing seems to work. Even while Miley is waiting to meet the queen, her grandmother is only paying attention to Jackson, who is going to be late for one of the biggest volleyball tournaments because the queen has been delayed. Jackson decides to leave because if he waits any longer he'll miss the tournament, and while he is gone, Miley confronts her grandmother and learns that the only reason she pays so much attention to Jackson is so that he won't feel ignored because everyone is always fussing over Hannah Montana. Eventually, Miley agrees with her grandmother and decides to cut her performance for the queen short so that she can be at Jackson's game to support him.

Miley is signing autographs as Hannah Montana to mark the opening of her new fashion line when she notices her dad looking for a birthday present to get her. She's worried that he'll get her another lame gift like he usually does, so she decides to take Lilly with her to the mall, and while she hides, she can tell Lilly yes or no about the outfit, and Lilly can tell her dad. But when Miley gets kicked out of the store, she decides to dress up as the Hannah Montana mannequin to pick the perfect present through Lilly. Lilly manages to convince Robbie to buy the outfit that Miley wants, but when Miley opens her present on her birthday, it's something completely different - a pink cat sweater that meows. Miley comes up with a scheme to ruin it, but before she gets the chance she has to go out in public wearing the sweater when Robbie throws her a surprise party at the beach. Meanwhile, Jackson has a difficult time getting Miley's birthday cake.

Miley and Lilly start to feel like they're not spending enough time together, so they decide to try out for cheerleading to fix their problem. Miley discovers that Lilly doesn't know a thing about cheerleading, so she teaches her what she knows. But when Lilly ends up making the squad using her skateboard moves, and Miley only gets to be team mascot, their friendship is only put under extra strain. Meanwhile, Jackson tries to fix the kitchen sink, and thinks that he's broken it, until a plumber comes and tells Robbie that Jackson's plumbing is actually what saved their house.

Miley, Lilly, and Oliver have to go camping for a class field trip. It's worse news for Miley and Lilly though because Amber and Ashley will also be there. Miley and Lilly try to make the best of it, but it eventually becomes too much for them to handle and they decide to take things into their own hands. Their actions have results though that they would have never imagined. Meanwhile, Robbie and Jackson try to track down and kill a mouse that is in their house, but they soon change their tune when they discover that the little rodent has a nack for playing the piano.

She tries to apologize, but to no avail. Later though, Miley as Hannah gets a glimpse at how Oliver feels when she forgets the words to the National Anthem on live television. Meanwhile, Jackson accidentally gets himself addicted to chocolate and sweets while trying to break Rico of his bad diet choices.

11 :01x11 - Oops! I Meddled Again (Jul/15/2006)
Miley and Lilly are checking Hannah Montana's email when they come across one from Becca in Malibu that asks for Hannah's advice about a cute boy at school that she likes and if she should ask him out. Miley and Lilly quickly figure out that the email is from Becca Weller in homeroom and that the boy she likes is actually Oliver. They decide to tell Oliver about Becca's email so that he will ask her out, but when Miley and Lilly see Becca with another boy, they get the wrong idea and jeopardize Oliver and Becca's relationship. Now Miley and Lilly have to try to set things straight before the whole thing is ruined because of their meddling.

Miley learns from candy counter girl Maddie Fitzpatrick (Ashley Tisdale) while checking out of the Tipton Hotel in Boston that her dad used to be a famous singer called Robbie Ray but gave it all up to look after her and Jackson after they were born. Back at home, Miley starts to feel guilty for ruining her dad's career so she calls Robbie's old manager and stages a chance for Robbie to make a comeback. This means that Miley and Jackson will have to be left in the care of overprotective Roxy while he is away though, and soon it becomes too much for them to take. Will Miley be able to find a way to make her dad happy by letting him live his dream, or will he decide to leave his career as a musician behind to do what he does best, being their dad?

Meanwhile, Jackson is forced to be Rico's new magic assistant, Tina, in order to get a good word in with his boss when he asks for a raise.

When a new kid transfers to Seaview Middle School who happens to be the famous TV star Jake Ryan, everyone can't help but be ecstatic; that is everyone except Miley. Miley thinks that Jake's just a self-centered stuck-up jerk who loves getting attention from anyone and everyone, and she's partly right, but she still can't help but be a little attracted to him. Feelings aside though, Jake is virtually ruining Miley's life. In the end it pushes Miley so close to the edge that she breaks down and tells a reporter that she's really Hannah Montana. Later realizing her mistake though, Miley looks to Robbie and Jackson to help her pick back up the pieces and get everything back to normal. Meanwhile, Robbie lets Jackson borrow his car to go out on a date while Jackson's car is broken with Robbie agreeing to go get Jackson's car fixed while he's out, but not everything goes according to plan on Robbie's end of the deal.

At the sime time, the school dance is coming up and when Jake asks Miley to go with him, she turns him down but soon regrets this decision when Jake ends up going with Lilly. Meanwhile, Robbie and Jackson pull pranks on each other to see who is the better prankster.

At first after Luanne arrives, it seems like Robbie may have been right after all, but when Luanne ties Miley up in her closet and then goes to a Halloween party dressed as Hannah Montana planning to reveal Miley's secret, it's up to Lilly, Oliver, and a now untied Miley dressed as Hannah to stop her before it's too late. Hannah Montana is scheduled to appear on the popular reality show, Singing With the Stars, where three ordinary kids are selected to sing with different celebrities with the best one, also the winner, winning a recording contract at the end of the show. Hannah is extremely excited about being on the show as it is very good publicity, but her happiness is short-lived when she soon discovers that one of the contestants that she will have to sing with on the show is none other than Amber. Miley and Lilly decide that they have to find some way to use this to humiliate Amber after they wind up on the very bottom of her "cool list" right behind Dandruff Danny. This will not be as easy as they might have assumed though when they find out that Amber is an excellent singer and she's a shoe-in to win. In the end, Lilly rigs up a trap to embarrass Amber, but will Miley be able to go through with it and humiliate Amber on national television? Meanwhile, Robbie and Jackson rattle their brains to try and come up with a way to get Mr. Dontzig's dog to stop barking.
