This episode followed immediately after the premiere of a Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM), Cow Belles, that starred Alyson Michalka (Disney's Phil of the Future) and Amanda Michalka.

An early edit of this episode leaked onto the internet 2 weeks before the actual premiere. It had different exterior shots, sound effects, and different concert scenes. The Stewart house was shown to be much larger, resembling a mansion beach house. "This Is The Life" was mixed differently, and was more up-beat than the version shown in the premiere.

Jason Earles who playes Miley's high school brother was actually 27 when they filmed this episode.

Lilly: You aren't screaming? Why aren't you screaming?
Jackson: Believe me, she's screaming on the inside.

In the scene where Miley squirts the ketchup onto her hand, the ketchup continually disappears and reappears.

A TV reporter calls Hannah Montana a "14 year old sensation". But, Hannah Montana is actually only 13 at the time.

When Hannah is autographing the girl's face you can see that she has already finished, but when the shot changes she pretends to sign the fan's face again.

Miley sticking her face in the cream pie in order for Lilly not to recognize her is similar to a scene from Mrs. Doubtfire.
