Penny's perpetually optimistic mom, Dana, is in town for a singing gig at a boat show. Her enthusiasm inspires the gang, but when Penny finds out she's hiding some less-than-happy news, she decides it's time to give mom a reality check.

Recap

The scene opens with Penny promoting the “Necksezeisor” and all the friends are trying it out and Brad says that it is horrible. Jane tells him to remain positive. She tells the friends that they are taking Couples Improv and they agree that it is better then Couples Yoga. Max comes in and complains that the café is crowded with tourists. They tell him it is because the café made it on Time Out’s Top 10. Max says that he doesn’t like it at all. Penny says that her mother, Dana, is coming and the friends get excited. Penny says that they are like the Gilmore Girls. Jane and Brad show how much they watch the show when they tell the differences between Penny and Dana and the Gilmore Girls...
