Hart Of Dixie: If It Makes You Happy

When Zoe reads about her fellow classmates' accomplishments in her Alumni magazine, she is upset that they list her as "retired" and invites the reporter to BlueBell for an interview. However, Zoe has a hard time convincing the reporter that she actually has a thriving medical practice in BlueBell - that is, until she comes across a rare and potentially serious disease. Trying to be considerate of Lemon's feelings, George informs her that he is going out on a date, making her feel that she too needs to find a date. Meanwhile, Lemon and Lavon both find themselves in competition with their nemesis Ruby.

Recap

The episode begins and Wade’s singing wakes Zoe up. He is doing some painting in her room, but isn’t wearing a shirt while he is at it. Zoe is bothered by that. Later, Zoe asks Lavon “you couldn’t find anyone else to paint my place?” Lavon says he did not have another option and suggests that Zoe is upset only because she and Wade aren’t sleeping anymore. Zoe denies this outright. Lavon says how he is having nightmares about Ruby winning the elections. Suddenly, Zoe remembers a reporter from her school alumni is coming to follow her around the next day. She basically wants to show the reporter, how she has a thriving medical practice in Bluebell. ..

Episode Quotes
Wade: (singing) In the Big Rock Candy Mountain the cops have wooden legs. The bulldogs all have rubber teeth, and the something-something eggs...
Zoe: What are you doing?
Wade: It's called painting, maybe you've seen it on one of your HGTV channels?
Zoe: Who paints half-dressed? Would you cover up?
Wade: You're one to talk, lying around in the skimpy little t-shirt when you know I'm coming over to paint. I'm just saying, if I didn't know any better I'd think you're trying to lure me into bed even though I told you I'm through with all that. And I won't be changing my mind any time soon.
Zoe: (throws a pillow at Wade)

Zoe: I wrote that I am a thriving and beloved G.P. in a small town where everyday brings a new medical adventure and I'm changing lives and healing the world by reinventing healthcare in Bluebell, Alabama...I may have exaggerated a little.
Lavon: Well, good news is you still have a day.
Zoe: 24 hours to reinvent health care and change the world. Piece of cake.

George: Dr. Breeland.
Brick: Well, well, well. George.
George: Listen, I was hoping to talk to Lemon. So...may I come in?
Brick: Well let's see. The last time you were in this house you broke my daughters heart, you humiliated my family, so you can understand my hesitation.

Zoe: You have to be prepared for anything to walk through that door. Hunting injuries, tropical diseases, compound fractures, you name it!
Tom: Dr. Hart, medical emergency!
Zoe: Here we go! It's going to be okay, Tom. Let's get you into procedure room two.
Tom: What...I don't...
Zoe: Nevermind, what's the emergency?
Tom: My arm, it's all read and itchy.
Martin: So, it's a rash.
Zoe: Well, it could be any number of poisonous...
Tom: No, it's a rash, he's right.

Wade: (slaps Earl) Hey Earl.
Earl: Is it the end of times? You brought your girlfriend with you!
Zoe: Excuse me?
Wade: Woah, no, no. She is not my girlfriend, no way.

Earl: Paintin' your girlfriends house? That's sweet.
Wade: (to Zoe) He's a drunk! Okay?
Earl: I may be a drunk but I'm not deaf. He talks. Blah, blah, blah, Zoe. Blah, blah, blah, Zoe. Blah, blah, blah, Zoe. Zoe, Zoe, Zoe...
Wade: You know what Earl, maybe she's right okay? You got leprosy of the brain, alright? Let's go.
Earl: Where ya going?
Wade: We got an armadillo to catch.
Earl: Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
