The episode begins with Zoe coming over to meet Wade. She basically asks Wade, as to why he hasn’t been coming over to her house for the past one week. Wade says he has been really busy. She realizes Wade is blowing her off, but doesn’t say anything about it. Lemon is still depressed that, Lavon and Ruby are now a couple. Tanzi comes into George’s office, to have a talk with him. Tanzi wants legal advice from George on how she should get back the custody of her dog “Dolly Parton” from her ex-boyfriend Cole. George says it would be difficult to get Dolly Parton back, as there is no legal agreement of any sort. ..Read the full recap
Zoe: Hey stranger, noticed you didn't come by last night.
Wade: Yeah I've been, uhh, working pretty late.
Zoe: Wow. You've been pulling double shifts like all week. Saving up to buy a two wheeler?
Wade: We've been short staffed at the Rammer Jammer.
Zoe: Yeah? At the office too. Still haven't hired a receptionist, and worse, Brick is making the coffee. He refuses to read the directions, so he's probably making more patients sick than came in sick...Okay, so. Later?
Wade: Yeah, I don't know.
Zoe: Double shifts, right. I'll see ya.
Lemon: Wanda, now that the election's over, can't you just take those posters down?
Wanda: I was going to, but now that they're a real life couple doesn't it just make you smile? I like to imagine them talking up there. "Hey Ruby," "Morning Lavon," "How'd ya sleep?" Is that weird?
Lemon: Not at all.
Tansy: How do I get custody of Dolly Parton?
George: Well...uhh...first off as an officer of the court I feel like I should stop --
Tansy: Oh Dolly Parton is my dog, I should have said that.
George: Yeah, yeah probably.
Zoe: Okay, day six of Wade avoiding sex with me. Discuss.
Lavon: Woah, woah look how late I am for something. Hey, maybe you two can talk about it, huh? Seeing as you both are here. Girl talk...Okay look, I know you've had your differences, but please talk to her. Because if Zoe Hart is left alone in her own head, lord knows what calamities might ensue.
(Lavon gives her a look)
Zoe: Yeah, okay...
Wade: Hello, anyone home?
Zoe: Wade, wow I was just coming over to talk to you.
Wade: Well I saved you the commute. 'Cause the thing is, uhh, well. You know that expression "evolve or die"?
Zoe: Okay look, I know what you're going to say and --
Wade: I know I've been acting kind of weird recently, alright. And I've been thinking a lot about it --
Zoe: I appreciate you trying to spell it out for me --
Wade: I think we should go on a real date.
Zoe: A real huh?
Wade: I know there's a whole like Olympics gymnastic routine going on in your head right now and you think you should probably consult Lavon and half the town of Bluebell...And I don't know, the Pope or whatever...
Zoe: Jews don't have a Pope.
Wade: Just, don't talk. The point is, if you want to go on a date with me, just bid on my basket at the auction tomorrow. I figure it's a perfect way to go on a first date pressure free. You can just look at it as an opportunity to test drive. You know, kick the tires, rev the engine. Take it for a spin. Okay. Come to the auction tomorrow, Doc.
