Race Bannon and Dr. Benton Quest have been looking over the boys since their first appearance in the series, though in hopes of gaining the full benefits available, they wish to form a legal partnership. However, Judge Mentok the Mind-Taker doesn’t have the authority to preside over such a case, so Harvey must go before the highest court in the land, though he receives some unexpected help from Birdgirl.

Episode Quotes
Harvey: If not for the courts, African-Americans wouldn’t have the right to vote! Wham! Women would not have the right to vote. Bam! Thank you, ma’am.

Harvey: But, uh, aren’t you say that you and Mr. Benton are, uh, how to put this, a couple?
Dr. Quest: Of course we’re a couple!
(The room becomes quiet)
Race Bannon: A couple of guys!
(Race and Dr. Quest both begin to laugh)

Birdgirl: For the state to recognize Race as the boys’ father, should, heaven forbid, anything happen to Dr. Quest, or allow Race to be covered under the doctor’s insurance, they need to get married!
Dr. Quest: Just a matter of convenience, Mr. Birddoor.
Birdgirl: With benefits!
