Episode Quotes
Doctor: Kramer, I'm not going to beg you. If I didn't have more medical ethics than good sense, I'd like to sit and watch the gangrene set in.
Doggie Kramer: Yeah, well, don't stampede, Doc. It ain't going to cure itself before you get to it.
Doggie Kramer: Gunfighter. Which way're you riding out?
Paladin: My own way.
Paladin: What're you going to do about Kramer?
Sheriff Toby: It all depends on what happens.
Paladin: He still here tomorrow, they'll tear him apart and you'll be right in the middle.
Sheriff Toby: That's where the law belongs, right smack in the middle. It gives people to shoot at. Bullets, words, depends on the man doing the shooting.
Paladin: You be ready to leave at 4:30 in the morning.
Doggie Kramer: But I need ya tonight.
Paladin: Four thirty, take it or leave it.
Doggie Kramer: It's a deal. You don't get the two hundred till we reach Santa Fe.
Paladin: Keep your money, Kramer, you're not buying anything from me.
Doggie Kramer: I don't figure.
Paladin: I do this for myself and for the man Jim Toby used to be. What happens to you later is not important.
Paladin: Well, from the look on his face, I'd say you're probably a little faster than he is.
Terry: I should be. I've had good reason to practice.
Doggie Kramer: Ropin' a fence post ain't the same as ropin' a steer. A lot of difference between a tree limb and a man with a gun.
Terry: Not you, Kramer, not you. To me, it'll be like shooting a rotten stump.
