Episode discussion for: 02x18 | Lekio (Radio) (Feb 27, 2012)

I ALMOST turned it off before the theme song of this episode. The fact that they have Dennis Miller and his extremely unfunny rants at the beginning and he's supposedly some "pirate" radio host, I could deal with, as annoying as that was. But, that they were showing tons of people of all walks of life supposedly listening to this douche and thinking he's HI-larious just completely stretched credibility (and I'm a huge sci-fi fan so I'm no stranger to suspending disbelief). If he was just some guy ranting in the ether, I could understand, but to premise it that 1. he's funny and 2. he's beloved would make me have to, if I took those seriously, question the sanity of the people of Hawaii. To think tons of people would miss him when he's gone is too much to ask me to believe. Maybe, if he was playing someone unlike himself. The only reason I restarted watching was reading the synopsis here that said his character gets blown up. Not that I'm gleeful about that, but just the knowledge he wouldn't be long for the episode made me give it another chance. But "comedic genius?" C'mon, Danno.
