Next Episode -->
The show opens with Marti Perkins narrating about her life and that she is a law student. She talks about how Lancer University’s cheerleaders, the “Hellcats”, are the icon of the school because of the football team. She sits next to Dan, who is watching the cheerleaders. They make jokes on which one Dan wants and they see one of the cheerleaders, Alice, fall and get hurt. Dan laughs about it but Marti tells that she is really hurt. She tells that she has to go and rides home. When she gets home, she sees that there is a Past Due notice on the dresser from Lancer University. Marti rides over to her mom, Wanda’s, work and shows the past due notice. Wanda tells that they send out the Past Due notice to scare her but Marti tells that they are going to bar her from classes if she doesn’t pay it. Wanda tells that they can’t do that and tells Marti to find out why because she is the law student. Marti tells that she only has two days to get an appeal in and leaves.

In the locker room, Alice is getting wrapped up by the doctor and tells that he could just shoot her up with something. He laughs and tells her that she is going to have to heal on her own time. The coach tells that they don’t have a replacement player and that they are going to be in trouble if they don’t find one. Savannah enters and tells Coach Lodge to have a positive attitude. Savannah sees Alice on the exercise bike with her arm wrapped up and writes “Healing” on her arm. Lewis laughs and Alice blames him for breaking her arm. He tells that she broke the pyramid and that it was all her fault. Meanwhile, Marti meets with the Dean of Lancer and he tells that she is too late to get the scholarship. But he recommends that she go with the lesser known scholarships that will allow her to continue. As she reads through, she is sarcastic about the fact that there is a scholarship for people who want to get into the potato industry. Savannah enters and posts a sign up. The secretary asks if the Hellcats are going to take them all the way. She is always positive and tells that she is there to fill out paperwork for her scholarship. Marti laughs and asks if there is a scholarship for being a “Football Groupie”. Savannah is offended and tells that she is not a groupie. Marti and Savannah get into an argument and realize that everyone is staring. They walk off. Marti sees the poster that Savannah put up. It says, “Cheerleader Try-Outs”.

Marti gets home and puts on the movie “Bring it On”. She practices the cheerleading moves and she is a natural at it. The next day, Coach Lodge introduces the try-outs and asks if they brought their A-Game. The girls cheer and Marti gets told that she is insane by Dan. She tells that she has to do it. Lewis tells Marti to get down to the try-outs and Marti comes face to face with Savannah. She tells that she is the Captain. The auditions are underway and the cheerleaders start dwindling down to only a small group and Marti has been doing an amazing job so far. She gets the moves mixed up and Coach Lodge tells her to relax and have fun. Marti starts to choreograph her own cheer routine and Coach Lodge likes it. Savannah tells that she is confusing the others but Coach Lodge doesn’t care. Afterward, Lewis goes up to Marti and asks where she picked up those moves and she asks if Savannah can be outvoted. He tells her that she can but that Savannah liked it when she did a special move. Marti doesn’t know what he is talking about and he calls her green. Coach Lodge comes to Marti’s try-out and Alice tells that she doesn’t like her. Coach Lodge does and the deciding vote rests on Savannah.

Later that day, Savannah walks up with the list of people who made it and Marti sees that she made the list. The next scene shows Wanda and Marti pulling up to her new dorm and tells that she doesn’t know why Marti can’t stay at the apartment. Marti tells that they like for the cheerleaders to stay in one building. Wanda doesn’t like the fact that the dorm is called “Cheertown”. Marti walks up the stair and Alice is leaving. She tells that she voted against Marti. She is shocked and realizes that Alice is not nice at all. She enters her room and realizes her new roommate is Savannah. Marti tells that they got off on the wrong foot and Savannah tells that she said yes to her because they have a chance to beat Memphis Christian at cheerleading. Coach Lodge comes up and meets with Bill Curran in his office and he tells that they are going to have to cut the cheerleading funding again and that it might go away all together. Coach Lodge is upset and tells that he can’t do it. Suddenly, Coach Red Raymond enters and it has been 10 years since Coach Lodge and Red were together. Coach Lodge tells that she is with a boyfriend now and he flirts with her still. Later, Coach Lodge meets for drinks with her boyfriend Derek and he tells that he heard that Coach Raymond is back and he asks her if she remembers him when she was a Hellcat herself. She tells that there is nothing there.

Marti gets up for practice and notices that it is a co-ed locker room. She timidly walks into the girl’s showers and meets Patty. Marti notices that Patty has the word “Strength” written on her arm and Patty says that it is Savannah’s thing to keep them motivated. Alice gets out of the shower and starts telling Marti that she is only going to be on the team temporarily and not to get used to anything. Marti tells that she will just have to prove herself. As Marti gets in the shower, Alice takes her close and towel. Afterward, Marti realizes that her clothes and towel are gone and she runs out of the shower to get a towel. But the boys return to the locker room and Marti is forced to go in a bathroom stall. Lewis opens the door and sees Marti hunched on the toilet naked and quickly closes the door. She asks him to get her a towel. Lewis drops his towel and asks if his “member” is crooked. Grossed out, the others leave and Lewis grabs a new towel. Marti tells that she owes him one and he tells that she is his new flier and that they need to look out for each other. He admits that he likes to be naked.

Marti is with Dan and he is video taping her. She tells that she is getting ready for everything and Dan tells that she shouldn’t want to leave Memphis. She tells that she has to do what she wants to do in life. He tells her not to drift far. Coach Lodge tells that they are going to have to go to Qualifiers and win and are going to have to wing it. They start to practice and Coach Lodge sees what Marti is doing and tells Savannah to go with it and show that she is from Memphis. They do a routine that is amazing and Savannah loves it. Alice comes in the dorm and with Chinese food and Marti is in the room with Savannah. She tells that she was a gymnast up to High School and her mom decided to come to her match with her boyfriend. They were drunk and everyone was asking who the White Trash couple was and she missed and fell on her butt. Her mom ran to her side and then puked on her. Savannah feels bad and Marti tells her that she put it behind her. Savannah tells that Marti can bring her boyfriend, hinting that Dan is her boyfriend, but Marti tells that Dan is just a bud. Savannah tells that Lewis has asked for Marti to be his permanent flier and tells that Alice knows that the squad comes first. Alice is in the doorway and hides the fact that she heard everything and asks to borrow a pen. Savannah tells that Marti can’t “Go Mental” at the qualifiers and that it is do or die.

Meanwhile, Alice visits the bar where Wanda is working at and invites her to qualifiers. Wanda tells that Marti doesn’t like when she goes and Alice tells that Marti has only been saying nice things and how Wanda is an inspiration in her life. She writes down the information about the qualifiers. Marti narrates that famous people have been cheerleaders. Politicians, TV Anchors, and even Presidents have all been at one point of their lives. The squad walks down the hall and enters qualifiers and Marti has the word “Fly” written on her arm and she is all smiles.
