Finish What We Started - Recap

The scene opens with the “Hellcats” practicing and Savannah telling that Marti is holding back and make her do “burpies” and the squad sees that she has something against Marti. Savannah tells that Marti is holding the “Hellcats” back. She asks about Dan and Savannah walks away. Marti gets yelled at that Savannah knows about Dan and her and calls Marti a liar. The squad is there and Savannah walks away. Lewis asks if the history between Dan and Marti was true and Marti tells that it is. He is upset that she didn’t tell him either. Meanwhile, Coach Lodge meets with Bill Marsh and he tells that he is taking away their cheer gym. Coach Lodge says that they will lose at Nationals if they don’t practice and Bill tells that he doesn’t care. She sees the magazine with the “Hellcats” on the front and knows why Bill is taking away things. She tells him that he cannot take away things because of a grudge. He tells that he can.

At the dorm, Savannah starts packing her backs when Marti tries to apologize and tells that she is going to stay with her parents for a couple of days. She leaves and Marti tries to chase her down. Lewis gets in her way and tells that they don’t need the drama with Sectionals only 2 weeks away. Alice tells Marti that she actually feels sorry for her. At Savannah’s home, her mom comes out to find Savannah on the couch. She asks what is going on and she tells that it is nothing and that she just missed the family. She tells that she can stay for as long as she wants. The next day at the prison, Morgan finds out that Julian visited with Travis and that they have been found out. They meet with Travis and he tells that he covered for them, but tells that they are going to need to be more careful. They sit down with Travis and tell about a pharmacist named Egan gave a statement to the police only to have it disappear suddenly. They are going to try to trick Egan into thinking that they have the original document.

Dan goes up to Savanna’s home and her mother answers the door. She tells Dan that Savannah doesn’t want to see him and she tells that he needs to get away and never see her again. Offended, he walks away. Meanwhile, Savannah goes around back and finds Charlotte reading. She confesses that she was going to lose her virginity to Dan but then found out that her friend had slept with him and lied about it. Charlotte tells that she is pregnant and Savannah tells that she and her will work through it. Charlotte begs her not to tell their mother. She pinky swears not to. Meanwhile, Marti and Morgan visit with Egan at the pharmacy and he swears that he doesn’t know about the 1st confession. This rattles his case and Morgan tells that they are going to have to stakeout the area. Marty tells that she will take the night shift. Marti meets Dan in the hall and they find out why Savannah is upset with them. He tells that he is not doing anything and she suggests he go on stakeout. He agrees. Marti tries to get into the gym, but it’s locked. Coach Lodge meets with the Facility Manager and she tells that Bill Marsh that the “Hellcats” don’t practice anywhere. He can do that because he is football.

Back at Savannah’s home, Charlotte is practicing routines and Savannah tells that she is not going to fly with the baby. Charlotte tells that it will be alright. To make sure that Charlotte doesn’t compete, she tells that she will take her place. Meanwhile in the car, Dan and Marti are staking out the pharmacy and they are talking about old times. As the night draws on, Marti scoots closer and closer to Dan and then finally, they kiss. In Bill Marsh’s office, Coach Raymond walks in and tells him to give back the gym to the “Hellcats”. He tells that they have a new Quarterback they want to sign but it is going to require that they bring back the “pay per play”. Coach Raymond doesn’t like it, but cares for Coach Lodge and the “Hellcats”. He agrees that he will meet. Meanwhile in the car at the pharmacy, Marti and Dan are in the back seat getting hot and heavy when suddenly a car pulls up at the pharmacy. Marti tells Dan to get his camera and film. He does, but when they leave, Marti can’t find her keys. They are gone and Marti gets upset that the car is cursed. Dan sees it differently and the drama of their past is drudged up. She asks why he didn’t talk to her for 6 months. Dan tells that he was scared because he was 16-years-old and the condom broke. He thought she was pregnant. Marti tells that she had her period 3 weeks later and he still didn’t talk to her. He tells that it was awkward.

Savanna and Charlotte are at the Cyclone meeting to impress the sponsor and one of the members tells that it is a bad idea. Charlotte tells that she threw out her back and Savannah is their only chance. They perform and they are great. Afterwards, one of the Cyclones tells Savannah that they are going to kick the “Hellcat’s” butts at Sectionals. At Wanda’s work, Marti looks at Dan’s video and she tells that it is great. Dan tries to talk about what happened and Marti tells that she needs Dan to be her friend and that is all. Lewis comes up and tells that he wants to talk to her alone. He tells that he should have had her back and he apologizes to her. Back at Savanna’s home, Savannah is going back to Cheer Town and her mother suggests that she stay home and go to Memphis Christian. She tells that she can’t. Her mother asks if there is something wrong with Charlotte and Savannah tells that she was just upset with herself for throwing out her back.

Savannah gets back to the dorm and apologizes to Marti. She tells that it is all her fault and Marti tells that she shouldn’t have lied to her. They make up and are friends again. Lewis comes in and has Dan with him. He tells Savannah that he is sorry and she forgives him. They all group hug and Dan looks down at Marti. Later at the restaurant, FeFe Dobson sings and Coach Lodge goes up to Coach Raymond and asks if he had anything to do with getting her gym back for her. He lies and says that he did not. He tells that he has a meeting to get to. Later that evening, Bill Marsh meets with Steve and his dad and gives the money to him. Coach Raymond is behind them and goes with the plan. Dan and Savannah go out and he tells Marti not to wait up and she tells that she won’t, but her eyes say another thing.
