The scene opens with the cheerleaders dancing and practicing their routine. Derek comes up and asks to talk to Vanessa and tells that it is important. Derek has been deployed and is shipping out in 3 days. He is going to be gone for a year. He tells that he want to get married to Vanessa before they ship him out. She tells that they should do it, but it is clear that she is unsure of the decision. Travis is working with Wanda as a server and also is living with him. Wanda tells that Marti is going to have to pay her back and Wanda tells that Marti can sing for an event. Marti tells that it is Jimmy Patch’s wedding that Wanda wants her to sing at and Marti tells that Dan is going to be there. Wanda tells that Dan’s dad asked for Marti specifically. Marti is not to sure and Wanda tells that she can tell Dan’s dad her answer herself. He comes up and convinces Marti to come to the wedding and sing. ..
