Fancy Dan - Recap

The scene opens with the cheerleaders dancing and practicing their routine. Derek comes up and asks to talk to Vanessa and tells that it is important. Derek has been deployed and is shipping out in 3 days. He is going to be gone for a year. He tells that he want to get married to Vanessa before they ship him out. She tells that they should do it, but it is clear that she is unsure of the decision. Travis is working with Wanda as a server and also is living with him. Wanda tells that Marti is going to have to pay her back and Wanda tells that Marti can sing for an event. Marti tells that it is Jimmy Patch’s wedding that Wanda wants her to sing at and Marti tells that Dan is going to be there. Wanda tells that Dan’s dad asked for Marti specifically. Marti is not to sure and Wanda tells that she can tell Dan’s dad her answer herself. He comes up and convinces Marti to come to the wedding and sing.

Later in the room, Marti tells Savannah and tells that she will cancel on them if she wants her to because she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship again. Savannah asks if Marti still has feelings for Dan and Marti tells that she doesn’t. Savannah tells that they will go together and Savannah will pose as a server at the wedding. She tells Marti that they will present themselves to Dan and allow him to pick which on he wants. Marti tells that it is not a competition and Savannah tells that it is only harmless fun. Marti leaves and Savannah calls her hairdresser to get her to get her highlights before the wedding. Alice talks to Lewis and Damian and Damian tells that he went to visit Jake. He tells that Jake asks why Alice hasn’t gone to see him and she tells that they are over with and that it is not needed. Lewis tells Alice that she has to because she promised him. She ignores the suggestion.

At the wedding, Wanda sets up everything and Teresa, Jimmy’s bride, tells that the flowers are white and that her father sent her mother white flowers every day he was having an affair. Wanda tells that they will take care of it. Jimmy apologizes, but Wanda tells that it is not a big deal. She tells that Marti is going to sing some Rolling Stones and everything is going to go great. Dan comes up and Wanda tries to whisper in his ear that Marti misses Dan and Dan tells that he is not going to allow Wanda to get into his head again. He asks how Savannah is and she tells that she is fine. She scoffs at the sound of Savannah’s name. Meanwhile, Vanessa is at a bar and Red Raymond comes in. Vanessa tells that she is getting married tomorrow and that it is the best things to do. Red tells that he would hate to see her get married because of him and only for love. She tells that she has to go.

The wedding party is in full swing and Marti is getting ready to go on stage. Savannah is a server and goes up to Marti and tells that she is going to go change to level the playing field. Marti reminds her that she is not competing, but Savannah is determined to win. Marti gets on the stage and Dan notices her and smiles. At the bar, Travis gives Alice her pie that she ordered and tells that he wants to thank her for getting Jake to confess. She tells that it was nothing and that she felt good doing it. She asks him to sit with her a moment and asks if he would give her some advice on Jake. Travis admits that Jake did wrong and deserves to be tortured, but that shouldn’t stop Alice from visiting him. After the song that Marti sings, Dan compliments her. She tells that she has missed Dan and Dan tells that he has missed her too. She is about to tell Dan the truth about how she feels when Savannah comes up. Dan says hello to her and tells that she looks nice. A woman comes up and Dan introduces her as Vicky to Savannah and Marti and she tells that she loves shore birds and have

Vicky explains that she has seen oil on 276 baby shore birds and tells that it is devastating. Savannah asks Marti what he sees in Vicky and Marti tells that he has someone without drama. Marti tells that she has to thank Savannah for interrupting her and Dan because she almost ruined her and Savannah’s relationship. She likes the honesty that Marti gives and Marti tells that her and Dan work as friends and that is it. She tells that she wishes that Savannah and Dan were together and not Dan and Vicky. Savannah tells her not to count her out yet. Wanda sees that Savannah is not wearing a uniform and Savannah tells that she spilled some stuff on it. She goes over to a guy and tells that she will pay $50 for him to talk to Vicky. Wanda is distracted by Teresa panicking about the cake and tells that someone in her family can’t eat dairy and Wanda offers her a mood stabilizer martini. Savannah makes her move and impresses Dan and his family about remembering all the names. The guy talking to Vicky gets bored and tells that Savannah could keep her $50. Vicky comes over and demands an answer. Wanda saves her by telling her that it is time to cut the cake. Dan’s dad pulls Dan to the side and asks what is going on with him and Marti and Savannah. He tells Dan that Marti is a train wreck and Dan is too. This makes for a best friend and that is it, but Savannah makes Dan a better person.

Derek comes in on Vanessa, who is still trying to figure out which dress to wear for their marriage. Derek comes in and asks her to sign the marriage license and she can’t do it. Derek picks up that it is Red Raymond who Vanessa is thinking about and he tells that he wishes them luck. He leaves Vanessa feeling sad and crying. At the wedding, Savannah tells that she almost looked like a desperate fool until Wanda saved her. She asks if she is dumb for wanting Dan back after what he did with Marti and Marti tells that she is forgiving and kind and that Savannah deserves Dan. Marti goes to talk to Dan and tells that they work as friends and nothing more. He agrees. Marti tells that he is going to have to talk to Savannah about everything and he tells that he will. Meanwhile, Alice goes to visit Jake and Jake is happy to see her. She tells that she lied to Jake to get him to confess. Jake tells that he is glad that she did because he is sleeping better. She tells that she will visit him more. Marti sings again and Dan goes up to Savannah and tells that he misses her and asks for forgiveness. She gives it to him and he tells that he needs to break up with Vicky first.

At the prison, Jake and Alice are laughing and having a fun time with on another. Vanessa goes home to find that Derek has cleaned out all of his things and that he is not coming back. She sits on her bed and cries. Back at the wedding, Marti is singing still and sees Dan and Savannah back together and kissing. Dan winks at Marti and she winks back. The episode ends.
