Warped Sister - Recap

The scene opens with the “Hellcats” practicing their routine and Vanessa sees that Savannah is messing up quite a lot. Savannah tells that she is a little tired. She walks off and Dan tells that they can fly to Paris or pizza and a movie. Savannah isn’t listening and says that she got her scholarship revoked. He asks how that happened and she says that the failing grade caused her grade point average to be a D average. That means that she is out of the program. She tells that she considers herself as a cheerleading major and open her own cheer school. Dan tries to be rational and Savannah tells him to hug her. Dan suggests that Savannah to go to her dad and keep her mother in the dark. When she sees her father, Savannah says that she is sorry, but she has a plan to work two jobs and can afford it minus $200. However, her father says that Savannah has done a lot to help the family and gives her a check to cover her tuition when she tries to tell that she is going to give up cheerleading. He tells that he will talk to her mother and says that side jobs are paying off.

Marti and Wanda are at the bar when Julian comes up and asks to talk to Marti in private. Wanda tells that they have no secrets and Marti tells that she had Julian do a background check on Rex, he father. Julian says that Rex cleaned himself up and than got re-married after Wanda divorced him. After his second wife got in a car accident, he went off the radar. Julian also shows a picture of his daughter with his second wife. It is Deirdre, the music store employee. She gets upset and storms off. Meanwhile, Kathy and Lewis are playing Kinect Boxing and Alice is not happy about it. Savannah comes up and is disgusted as well. Lewis asks what the deal is and Kathy tells that she has a history with Savannah. Kathy tells him not to worry about it and kisses Lewis goodbye. Savannah goes into her room and finds that she has an invitation to Kathy’s baby shower for Charlotte. Savannah goes over and tells that she had a party planned for Charlotte already on the same day. Savannah asks how come Kathy didn’t know about it and Savannah tells that she didn’t invite her. Charlotte gets upset and tells that she has to play nice with Kathy otherwise she will convince the squad to turn on her.

Marti goes to the music shop and walks in to find a man there. He asks about Deirdre and the man tells that she isn’t there. Marti sees her in the back and chases after her. She tackles her and tries to tell her to explain why she didn’t tell her that they were sisters. Deirdre manages to escape from Marti and runs away. Later that night in Vanessa’s office, Vanessa and Emily are talking and she asks if Red did Pay for Play. Vanessa tells her that Red hates Pay for Play and that there is nothing on him. However, Emily tells that Vanessa can’t trust Red, but Vanessa tells that she can. Savannah sits down with Kathy and tells her that she is sorry that she didn’t invite her and that she wants her to come to her baby shower that she is throwing for Charlotte. She tells that she isn’t doing this for her, but for Charlotte. Kathy tells her that she doesn’t know if she can listen to this and leaves. Later that evening, Dan and Savannah are playing Kinect Boxing and Marti storms in. Dan and Savannah talk to her and Savannah tells Marti to keep trying with Deirdre. She obeys that she will give it another try.

The next day, Marti goes to the shop again and the man that lied to her tells that he is sorry that he lied and that she doesn’t want to talk about Rex. Marti tells him to give some sheet music that Rex wrote and that it would have been nice. Deirdre comes out of the back and tells Marti to come in. They sit down and talk and Marti tells that she is a cheerleader at Lancer University. They talk about Rex and Deirdre tells that he was great until her mother died and then he relapsed into drugs and left her. Marti tells that she has a guitar from Rex too and offers her to come over and see it. She agrees. Later, Savannah tricks Charlotte into a surprise Baby Shower. Savannah and Kathy lie and say that they planned it together and made fake invitations to throw her off. Meanwhile, Deirdre comes over to Wanda’s and is uncomfortable until Wanda hugs her. Back at the party, they are having a fun time opening presents and spoiling Charlotte. Savannah goes up to her father and tells that her mother has not said anything about the check that he wrote for her. He asks if it is in the bank and she says that it is. He tells that he will handle her mother.

Back at Wanda’s, Deirdra and Wanda exchange stories of Rex being a loser and Marti tells that it can’t be all bad and that she only has stories that they can tell her. Deirdre starts playing a song that Marti recognizes. She says that Rex used to play that and they start singing the song. During this time, they are continuing the games at the baby shower. Back at Wanda’s place, Wanda cries and says that she is remembering the good of Rex. Back at the party, Kathy tells that she is going to tell the squad to vote to remove Charlotte as Captain and Savannah tells her to leave. Lewis steps in and tells the girls to get to the room. He finds out that Savannah and Kathy were friends until they were 9 years old. Kathy tells that Savannah killed her tarantulas and then started telling everyone that she was Nasty Kathy. Savannah says that it was nothing, but to Kathy it meant years of name calling. Savannah says sorry and asks if they can start over. However, they are interrupted when Dan tells her to come out there. Her dad is getting arrested. Everyone is shocked.

At a restaurant, Red goes up to Emily and tells that she is not going to hurt him and that the trustees are going to know who told the news and will squash her career. Emily tells that she thought that they were going to get together until she saw Vanessa and everything changed. She asks if he loves Vanessa and he says that he does. She says that she can hurt him then. Marti and Deirdre sing another song and Vanessa walks by the trophy case to have Emily glare at her. Dan goes in to comforts Savannah who is a nervous wreak as Parker goes to jail. Lewis comes down the stairs with a gift for Katy. It is two tarantulas. The episode ends with Marti going up to Julian. She thanks him for finding her sister and kisses him. She asks if he is going to invite her in and they kiss and take off each other’s jackets.
