Land of 1,000 Dances - Recap

The scene opens with Lewis and Kathy dancing together when suddenly Kathy trips and says that it is her knee. Lewis tells her to take it easy, but Kathy says that she is fine. Alice walks in and tells that she doesn't want Kathy in their practice room. Alice says that she knows that Lewis and Kathy are planning to do the dance off competition. She tells Kathy that she better watch out for the hurt knee. Alice tells Lewis when Kathy leaves that if he is serious about winning, he needs her. He leaves. Meanwhile, Savannah looks at the newspaper that has a picture of her father and the scandal. Dan tells that she shouldn't be hurt by the media. He tells Savannah that dinner with his family is off because his father can't retire because the pension plan was gutted and is blaming Parker. Dan says that it is hard to believe that Parker is innocent. Savannah tells him that she is not hungry.

Marti comes in and asks what is better with her date with Julian. Savannah gets an idea to solve the public defender part of her father's trial and asks Marti to talk to Julian. Marti says that she will talk to him. Later at the restaurant, Alice is at the bar and Wanda gives her a drink. She says that it is from Morgan. She laughs and says that he shouldn't aim so high. Wanda goes over to Lewis and his father and tells his father that his card was declined. Lewis covers the bill and they walk away. His father talks about his car and how bad it is. Lewis tells him that it will be alright. Alice realizes that the reason Lewis is in the dance off is to win the car for his father. Lewis tells her that she doesn't have to worry about it. Alice goes over to Morgan and asks if he dances and he says yes he does.

Later that evening, Marti gets ready for her date and Wanda asks how much older is Julian, but Marti doesn't car. However, she is texted that Julian can't make it. Wanda says that she is sorry and they are going out dancing. Marti tells Wanda that she loves her. Meanwhile, the dance contest is underway and they set the rules that they have to keep dancing for 24 hours. The host introduces Sierra to add music to the dancers. The next day, Marti goes to Julian's and he says that he is sorry that he canceled and says that he can't talk right now. Marti realizes that Julian has company, but finds out that it is her daughter, Nikki. Marti is shocked. They go inside and Julian explains that his soon-to-be ex-wife had an emergency that he had to take his daughter. He says that he will make it up to her. Marti asks if he will represent Parker and he agrees.

Later, Julian meets with Savannah, Charlotte and Savannah's mother and tells that the judges has set the bail to $50,000. Savannah asks if her mother can talk to the church and says that the Angel Fund is there to help. However, her mother tells that she can't do that, but Julian suggests that they go to the church to get the bail money. Back at the dance off, Kathy's knee is giving her problems and Alice walks over and tells her that she better watch out or she is going to have to drop out of Nationals. Lewis comes over and tells that they are dropping out. Alice says that she is out a partner and would love to help Lewis out to win the car for his father. Kathy tells him not to and tells Lewis to forget his father and tells him that if he dances with Alice, their relationship is over. Lewis tells Kathy that he will dance with whomever he wants. Alice goes over to Morgan and tells him that he is fired.

At the restaurant, Wanda gives Savannah's mom wine and Savannah comes in and asks if she called the church. She says that she doesn't want to and Savannah convinces her to after telling that Parker is an important part of their family. She tells that Savannah is right and calls to the Pastor for help. Back at the dance off, Alice is rubbing her feet and goes back on the dance floor. Meanwhile, Julian and Marti are together and dance to their own music. As the dance off goes on, Alice's foot gets worse and worse and the dancers get slimmer and slimmer. At Julian's Marti and Julian forget about the dinner and there is a little fire. Julian calls the insurance agent and tells that he was alone when the fire happened. Julian gets a call from Savannah and Marti and Julian go to the jail to get Parker out. The family is reunited.

The dance off is down to only two couples. Lewis and Alice are giving their all and as the night ends, Lewis and Alice win the car. Afterward, Lewis sees the damage of Alice's blistered foot. He says that he has her and carries her out of the dance contest. Marti comes downstairs the next day and asks Julian who he was talking to yesterday and Julian confesses that he is not really legally separated yet and Marti asks why he is with her. He tells that she is amazing in many words and she forgives him. They kiss. Meanwhile, Dan comes over and tells Savannah that heard that Parker is out on bail and says that he is sorry. Savannah says that it is alright and says that she needs to know that she can depend on him. Parker calls Savannah and tells that he is running away from the law and says goodbye. She cries and Dan hugs her. The episode ends with Marti and Julian getting "busy", Lewis giving car keys to his father and kissing Alice and Savannah and her family telling the FBI that they have no clue where Parker went. The episode ends.
