Every great chef has a discerning palate, so Chef Ramsay tests each chef's ability to identify ingredients relying solely on their taste buds in the blind taste challenge. The winning team is granted a luxurious sushi meal overlooking the ocean followed by a relaxing day of horseback riding. Meanwhile, the losing team is charged with delivery day duties and backbreaking labor in HELL'S KITCHEN. Later, Chef Ramsay presents the chefs with a surprising challenge in order to determine which contestant deserves immunity in the next dinner service and will move one step closer to a life-changing prize

The remaining eight chefs take a spin to determine which type of international cuisine they will cook in a challenge that will test their ability to create an exquisite ethnic dish using only select ingredients. The winning team earns a shopping spree and private lunch, while the losing team must restock wine and prep the bar for dinner service. Later, one team falls behind even before dinner service begins, and the other team's strongest competitor makes shocking mistakes that put Chef Ramsay over the edge, forcing him to send both teams out of the kitchen. After the worst dinner service in HELL'S KITCHEN history, each team must nominate their weakest chef in another explosive elimination round.

11x13: 8 Chefs Compete recap: With the elimination of Michael, the episode picks up with Chef Ramsay upset from the Red Team’s inability to choose who is to go to the Blue Team. He says he told them to come up with a consensus. He tells them all to go back to the kitchen and decide. They come back and say Nedra is going over to the Blue Team. Nedra sees the opportunity as something good. The next morning, they get to the dinning room to find Ramsay in a room of presents. He says they have to make International dishes. 11x12: 9 Chefs Compete recap: With the elimination of Ray last week, it is down to the Red Team: Susan, Nedra, Cyndi, Mary and Ja’Nel, and The Blue Team: Zach, Anthony, Jon and Michael to claim the prize in the end. The remaining contestants make their way to the dorms and Susan goes into Nedra’s room and talks to her. Nedra is upset the team threw her under the bus. The Blue Team says they are tired of losing and Zach says he wants to redeem himself. Zach brings out his “alter-ego”, Grant Banks. 11x11: 10 Chefs Compete recap: The chefs from the Red Team and the Blue Team stand before Chef Ramsay and Ramsay says he is not done with the eliminations. He says the night was a disaster. Cyndi says she is not going downwards and she is sent back in line. Zach says the opportunity is what he needs. Barret says it is because of Ramsay that he started to cook. Ramsay decides to send home Barret. In the dorm, Zach is upset his team doesn’t believe in him. He decides to ignore them. Susan has a zit and Nedra puts egg on it because it is an old family recipe. 11x10: 12 Chefs Compete recap: With the elimination of Jacqueline, it is down to The Red Team: Susan, Nedra, Cyndi, Amanda, Mary and Ja’Nel, and The Blue Team: Barret, Ray, Zach, Anthony, Jon and Michael to show that they have what it takes to make it as Head Chef at Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant. Amanda feels horrible and the team tells her that she needs to pick up the slack. The next morning, the chefs get to the dinning room and Ramsay shows them a picture of him as a teenager. He tells the chefs that he has pictures of them as well. Each of them sees a picture of Brianna, a girl who is going to host her Quinceanera in Hell’s Kitchen. Barret is really upset with himself and he is told to bring it harder. He goes to the bathroom and saves his head to show that he is ready to go. The Red Team are certain that it is going to be all girls in Black Jackets. The next day, the chefs run down to meet Chef Ramsay.
