12 Chefs Compete - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
After Gina was eliminated last time, Natalie, Carrie, Will, Krupa, Monterrey, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Paul, Tommy, Jennifer, Jamie, and Elise are still in the competition to get the top spot and the $250,000 per year career. Both teams gather after the horrible dinner service and Elise says that she is relieved and she celebrates. However, not everyone on the Red Team share her excitement because of the fact that they had to send another teammate home. Elise tells that she is still there and rubs it in everyone’s faces. The next day the chefs come out and Chef Ramsey tells that they are going to have a High School Reunion for the dinner service. He says that Elizabeth and Paul are to talk to committee members of the High School reunion with Ramsey. The Red Team is unsure about this because Elizabeth has a tendency to be scatter-brained and forgets a lot of things.

Elizabeth and Paul go upstairs and talk to the three women who are serving as committee members to the Reunion. They tell that they want a Hawaiian Theme and one of the women doesn’t eat meat. The team members get back and Elizabeth tells them that it is going to be an Asian Theme and that it is going to mixed meat and fish. Paul gets it right for his team and tells the right information. The chefs have 45 minutes to cook the menu to have the committee members try. They walk up with their first dishes and it is against Natalie and Carrie. Ramsey says that it is Hawaiian Theme and the Red Team turn to Elizabeth. Natalie’s dish is perfect and Carrie’s is too much Asian. Blue Team gets the point. Krupa and Monterrey come up with their pork and Krupa messes up with it when it is too Asian. Blue Team gets another point. To redeem the Red Team, Elise and Will come up with their next dish. However, it is Blue Team who gets the point for Will’s perfect fish whereas Elise had beacon on hers. Blue Team is going on a Super Yacht and relax while the Red Team have to clean up, set up for the dinner service, and prep both kitchens as well.

In the kitchen, Elizabeth tells that she can’t take all the blame for this because every dish came back wrong. Elise is running her mouth telling everyone that she is not happy. Meanwhile, the Blue Team is ready to celebrate their victory over the Red Team with the Super Yacht. They get on board and find Captain Hats and sunglasses. They crack open the champagne and start partying. Back at the dinning room, the Red Team starts the set up to transform the dinning room into a Hawaiian Themed atmosphere. Elise doesn’t pull her own weight and complains that the things are too heavy and sits to the side pretending to work. The Blue team is getting drunk and goes into the Hot Tub together. Natalie starts to feel like she is part of the team. They celebrate until they have to go back to Hell’s Kitchen. When they return, they find that the Red Team is making leis for the dinner service. Natalie is clearly drunk and she tries to stand up on the fountain and falls in. Jonathan and Will take pictures of her in naughty pictures. The next day as they prepare for dinner service, the Blue Team is regretting their party time. On the Red Team, they are in charge of the cake and they don’t do a good job. Carrie and Elise get into a heated argument and get into each other’s faces about too. They try to cover the cake with decoration.

Ramsey calls the chefs together and the cake is presented. It is not good at all and Ramsey says that they’re not serving that. The Dinner Service begins and the High School Reunion is underway. Right away, the Blue Team is on fire with their appetizers because they know what they are doing with the menu. Whereas on the Red Team, they are slow going trying to figure out how to prepare the dishes. Blue Team move onto entres and Paul messes up his dish and Ramsey calls it raw and undercooked. He slams the fish on the counter and tells him to start again. Ramsey is also having issues on the Red Team and asks who is going to lead the Red Team. Elise says that she will and starts telling everyone to communicate. She pushes the Red Team and they pick up their feet and start to get dishes out with no problem. Back on the Blue Team, Monterrey messes up the Garnish and Ramsey tells him to get into the program. Carrie is trying to impress, but Ramsey sees her mix old rice in with new rice. He doesn’t like this and tells her not to do that again.

The teams are moving along, but when Paul messes up the fish again, he tells Paul to get out of the kitchen. Monterrey and Jonathan are put on the Fish station. The Red Team continues to shine with everyone pulling in successful dishes. The Blue Team however have the committee table on their side and have not delivered their entres yet. Monterrey brings up the fish and it is raw. Ramsey gets upset and tells the Blue Team to get out of the kitchen and go to the lobby. Ramsey goes over to the Red Team and asks them to make the dishes for the Blue Team and they move along with no problems at all. Meanwhile, Jonathan tells that Monterrey better have his bags packed because he is going home tonight. He defends himself and tells that he can cook. The dinner service concludes and Ramsey gives the audience a Hawaiian Hula Dancer Show. The Red Team is glad that they are not on the chopping block tonight. Jonathan and Monterrey continue to yell at each other and Monterrey says that he is certain that he is not going home.

The Blue Team go up to Ramsey while the Red Team sit down. Ramsey asks which two they want to come up and they tell that Monterrey and Paul. Ramsey says that Jonathan needs to come up too. With Jonathan, Monterrey and Paul up in front of Ramsey, he asks Paul why he should stay. Paul tells that he made a mistake and wants to prove to Ramsey that it won’t happen again. Jonathan says that he is a better cook then Monterrey and that he is not done yet. Monterrey says that he did his best with what he has been given. Ramsey says that Paul can go back in line and tells Monterrey that he is the one to go home. Jonathan lets out a sigh of relief and Ramsey tells them that they needs to step it up.
