10 Chefs Compete - Recap

With Krupa gone from the competition, Natalie, Carrie, Will, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Paul, Tommy, Jennifer, Jamie, and Elise wait for Chef Ramsey to tell what else he has to say. Ramsey says that they all have the lack of the leadership and tells them to pick one chef who is going to lead the team to victory. They go back to their rooms and Blue Team tells that Will is their leader without any hesitation. However, on the Red Team they are divided and Carrie nominates herself as a leader. Elise laughs and says that Jennifer is the better choice. The next day, they get downstairs and Ramsey asks who they picked. Jennifer and Will step forward and Ramsey asks each of the teams which team member is the worst leader. They choose Carrie and Tommy. Ramsey says that today, the teams are going to have to transform 5 comfort classics and he says that he is going to give Carrie and Tommy a chance to prove that they are the better leader.

They get down to transforming and choosing which 5 foods are going to be best. On the Red Team, Elise is argumentative to Carrie because she just doesn’t like Carrie. On the Blue Team, Tommy is not really communicating what he wants and Jonathan wants to know what he is doing. Tommy tells him to do the pizza and Jonathan tries to undermine Tommy on it. They gather their dishes together in the end and Ramsey says that he has a guest. Wolfgang Puck comes down to help judge and the chefs have stars in their eyes. Jamie and Tommy go up first and Wolfgang says that Jamie’s was a little overdone, but it has flavor. He says Tommy’s is boring. Jamie gets the point for the Red Team. Elizabeth and Natalie go up and Elizabeth didn’t make the Cob Salad pretty. Natalie remixed it and had Fish on hers. They say that it is not a Cob Salad, but it is really good. Will and Elise come up and no points for either one. Jennifer and Paul come up and Jennifer gets the point. With one dish left, Jonathan refuses to bring it up against Carrie’s. The pizzas for both are raw. The Red Team wins the challenge and is getting treated like movie stars and will be going down the street on Sunset Blvd. in convertibles followed tickets to the Laugh Factory. The Blue Team have to clean and prep both kitchens.

As the girls get ready to go on their day of fun, Jonathan says that he pulled a muscle in his neck and says that he is going to have to sit down. As Jonathan gets rest, the Blue Team is not happy that the minute they get punished, Jonathan has a neck injury. The Red Team goes into the Laugh Factory and sees Kira Soltoanovich on stage. She makes joked aimed at Chef Ramsey and the other chefs laugh. On top of all of that, the Red Team goes to their rooms to find a basket with pots and pans. Each gets them to take home. They celebrate their victory. The Blue Team starts to prep both kitchens and Jonathan is in the lobby sleeping. They are not happy that they had to clean and prep without him. The Red Team gets into the kitchen and starts to prepare everything their way and Jonathan comes out and joins the Blue Team after everything is done.

At 6:04 PM, Hell’s Kitchen opens and the U.S. Coast Guard are the special guests. The appetizer orders are up and Carrie is messing up on the pizzas. Jonathan tries to cut corners by putting too much pasta into the drainer and Ramsey tells him to separate it. On the Red Team, Jamie helps Carrie and they start to push out the appetizers. However, on the Blue Team, their Campanili and the Muscles are undercooked and bland. Ramsey brings it back and tells Natalie and Jonathan to do it again. They mess it up again and Ramsey talks to Jonathan on the side. He says that he is not at 100% and Ramsey tells that he had a chef break his arm and he went on to win it all. Jonathan says that he will work harder. After the pep talk, the Blue Team starts to get their appetizers out of the kitchen to the VIP guests. On the Red Team, everyone keeps ordering meat and Elise is rocking it on every dish that comes in. Ramsey goes over to the Blue Team and shows them that the Red Team is doing great whereas they are doing horrible. Elise tells James that they won tonight.

Paul tells that they need to make sure that they finish strong. The losing team of the night is Blue Team and they are told to that they are going to have to choose two people to go against judgment. Jonathan nominates Tommy and Natalie to go up and Natalie says that Jonathan was the one who should be going up there. Tommy says that he only messed up on one dish whereas Natalie and Jonathan were the ones that were holding everyone up on the appetizers. The Blue Team decides and goes downstairs. Ramsey asks who they have chosen and the Blue Team tells that it is Natalie and Jonathan. Ramsey asks them why they should stay and Jonathan blames everyone else for his problems. Ramsey makes the choice and the person eliminated is Jonathan. Ramsey tells Natalie to step it up and tells Elise that she did a great job tonight. Jennifer is not happy because Elise is going to be more vocal.
