Angela and Nathan are in Manhattan, watching over the comatose Peter. Peter is still receiving flashes of his vision of the future, and an explosion in New York City.
A group of prison guards come to move Niki out of her cell in solitary confinement. The head guard is injured and all of them are nervous around her. They cuff her and take her out to see her lawyer.
Claire is at home watching a news story on how the high school will finally reopen after Jackie's murders. She wonders what the other kids will think and Mr. Bennet assures her she doesn't have to tell them anything. Claire claims she doesn't even remember much about what happened and leaves for school.
At the containment facility Mr. Bennet watches the drugged and unconscious Sylar in his cell. Hank reports that they’ve been unable to identify the genetic coding for any of Sylar's powers except telekinesis, and that they've given him plenty of glycimerine, enough to put his life at risk. Bennet says that Sylar would deserve it for what he did to Eden but they have to keep Sylar alive.
Matt and Audrey break into Primatech with a FBI team and a search warrant but they don't find anything. Matt asks Mr. Bennet where Sylar is, but Bennet denies anything and Matt is unable to read his mind because of the Haitian's powers.
In New York City, Hiro and Ando are at the museum watching a videotape of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Hiro is looking for a samurai sword, but Ando says that they only have three weeks to stop the explosion. Hiro believes that he needs the sword to restore his powers, which have been weakening since he failed to save Charlie. Looking around, Hiro finally finds the katana, which belonged to Takezo Kensei.
Simone arrives at the hospital to visit Peter, who is still unconscious and having visions. Angela admits the doctors have no idea what's wrong with him and Nathan warns that Peter's heart may not take much more strain. Simone wonders what Peter is thinking and Nathan says that Peter said something about "absorbing too many powers" before collapsing. Simone informs him that Peter wanted to see the missing painting but Nathan insists that seeing it is what took Peter to Texas and caused his current condition. He asks to meet with Isaac and she agrees.
D.L. and Micah are at home getting used to each other, and D.L. notices a scratch on Micah's face. Micah admits that some kids called Niki a "psycho killer." D.L. is expecting a visitor who shows up, Aron Malsky, who works for Mr. Linderman. D.L. gives him the briefcase back and Aron notes that D.L. has been exonerated by Niki's confession. When D.L. asks if Mr. Linderman will be leaving them alone, Aron warns that Linderman will want something in return for D.L. taking something from him.
At the museum, Hiro talks about how he was brought up on stories of Takezo Kensei, a legendary Japanese hero who found a mystic sword that made him a great leader. Ando looks at the sword in its case and notes there's a Japanese symbol on the hilt that is a combination of the words "great talent" and "godsend." Hiro says that it's his destiny to get the sword and use it to fulfill his purpose, and they need to steal it.
Mohinder is at his apartment when he receives a visit from an FBI agent following up on Mohinder's call about the List. Mohinder explains about what the List means and the agent confirms that they've tried to locate Sylar but that name is an alias. They have located one other person on the list: Sarah Ellis. The agent shows Mohinder a photo of Sarah, which is Eden. Mohinder admits that he hasn't seen her in a few weeks and the agent says that they found her dead in Lake Ramsey, an apparent suicide.
At Primatech, Bennet gives FBI agent Thayer a tape confirming that Matt has been watching them for two weeks. Thayer is unhappy that Audrey put the FBI in a risky position based on Matt's wild theories and warns she'll be giving Audrey a reprimand. Audrey tells Matt to go home and leave her alone. He confronts Mr. Bennet and says that he's not going to stop, but Bennet just wishes him luck.
Claire approaches Zach at school and asks to talk to him. She talks about losing another best friend beside Jackie, and they both say they can't remember what happened at Homecoming. She wonders if they could be friends but Zach doesn’t think it would work out.
Niki meets with her attorney and insists she just wants to stay in jail, despite the fact the district attorney is seeking the death penalty. Her attorney suggests she cooperate and tell them where the money is, but Niki says she doesn't know. Then Jessica takes over and she starts "talking" with Niki. The attorney warns it'll be difficult to make a convincing insanity plea and Jessica tells him to get a psychiatrist. Niki then tries to convince him she's not nuts.
In New York at the museum, Hiro and Ando examine the exhibit and Ando warns that stealing is wrong. Hiro tries to stop time but his power doesn't work initially. Concentrating again, he manages to slow down time enough to get past the security guard, take the sword, and run off. As he leaves, he runs into the Tyrannosaurus Rex model and waves the sword at it, fulfilling the prophecy from Isaac's painting. When time goes back to normal, Ando goes outside and finds a triumphant Hiro outside. However, Hiro realizes the sword is a replica, and the real one is with the Linderman Group.
Nathan and Simone arrive at Isaac's loft and see that the painting are back despite the fact they were stolen three weeks ago. Isaac comes in and says that he's been in a clinic and now that he's cured he doesn't need heroin to paint, and that he still loves her. Nathan asks about the exploding man painting and how Peter thinks he's responsible, and Isaac explains about his powers. Nathan is skeptical, but they're interrupted when Hiro and Ando arrive. Hiro mentions Linderman having the katana and Nathan recognizes the name, while Hiro recognizes Nathan from the desert.
Claire meets with the Haitian and he warns that she's safe… for now. She wants to talk to Peter but the Haitian warns her that she can't give any clue that she still has her memories. The Haitian admits that Hank and Lisa work for her father and aren't her real powers. She asks him to restore Zach's memories but he warns that he can't use his "gift" that way. She doesn't believe their powers are a gift but the Haitian says that they come from God.
Hiro explains about the explosion he saw in the future and how his powers brought him back from the future to stop it in the present. He believes Nathan will help too but Nathan is skeptical. Hiro figures that the exploding man in the paintings is the cause and must have some kind of power just as they do.
In a house in the Nevada desert, Ted Sprague is experimenting with his power and causing small nuclear explosions… like the ones in Peter's vision.
Claire convinces Zach to go with her to the abandoned refinery where they first filmed her using her powers. She explains that this time she wants it on videotape so she'll never forget who she is no matter what. She climbs up the 80' tower and jumps. A shocked Zach runs up to her and looks on in amazement as she regenerates.
D.L. and Micah visit Niki, who tells them about how Jessica tried to escape and hurt the guards. D.L. wants her to meet with the prison shrink and get help dealing with Jessica, but Niki insists Jessica is real. When D.L. wonders if they should have given back the money, Niki insists they had to return it or it would never be open. When she asks to hug Micah, the guard refuses and she approaches him. He swings his nightstick at him but she easily catches and breaks it… without reverting to Jessica. Before she can do more, the guards restrain her.
Mohinder returns to his apartment to find Mr. Bennet waiting for him with a gun. Bennet talks about Eden, saying that she was a good person who learned to use her powers wisely. He warns Mohinder that not everyone with powers uses them widely and he should have come to Mohinder earlier. Bennet admits that he knew about Chandra's list and they need to help the ones who can't control their powers. Mohinder doesn't believe him and tells him to get out, but Bennet gives him a card with a phone number in case he changes his mind.
Matt returns home to find Janice packing to leave. She blames herself for their problems, but he says he needs to be honest and say she can read her thoughts and offers to prove it.
In New York, Peter visions are growing more detailed, and now he sees a bearded man laughing at him. Now he can see himself warning Nathan that he took someone's power, and Nathan insisting he won't leave Peter. Peter explodes with energy, killing Nathan and Simone and destroying New York. Peter finally wakes up, screaming.
Nathan arrives at the hospital later only to discover that Peter is gone and Angela doesn't know where he is. Nathan tells her that he'll find his brother.
Simone and Hiro compare notes and she explains that Linderman is a client of hers that purchases Isaac's paintings, and she can arrange a meeting.
Peter is making a call for reservations to Las Vegas, Nevada, near where they performed nuclear bomb tests. However, he notices the bearded man from his vision stealing a man's wallet. Peter grabs the man, who is surprised that Peter can see him. The two men struggle and the bearded man gets the upper hand, as Peter realizes they've both become invisible.
Niki has been straitjacketed and locked back up in her cell. As she wonders if God will help her, Jessica takes control to say they don't need anyone but Jessica.
