|"Heroes" premiered to critical acclaim and highly successful ratings. Throughout the first season we meet many characters with new found powers. Those include Isaac Mendez (Cabrera) who can paint the future, Micah Sanders (Gray-Cabey) who can use technopathy to infiltrate high-tech machinery, Matt Parkman (Grunberg) who can read mines, Niki Sanders (Larter) who has a strong alter-ego named Jessica, Hiro Nakamura (Oka) who can teleport and slow down time, Claire Bennet (Panettiere) is invincible and regenerates body tissue, Nathan Petrelli (Pasdar) can fly, D.L. Hawkins (Roberts) can move through solid objects, and Peter Petrelli (Ventimiglia) who can use anybodies abilities after he meets them. |
Throughout the season we also meet Mr. Bennet (Coleman) otherwise known as "H.R.G." or horn-rimmed glasses who works for Primatech, a paper company, who seems to do more than just ship out paper. Also we meet Simone Deveraux (Cypress) who was dating Isaac until she couldn't handle his drug addiction. And finally we met Mohinder Suresh (Ramamurthy) who is trying to find all of the heroes and study their unique powers.
The main storyline of the first season revolved around the heroes trying to take down Sylar, who was an evil being who ate the brains of other heroes to absorb their powers. Side storylines of the season were the heroes recognizing their abilities and honing them to make them work properly and perfecting them.
Season 1 of "Heroes" starred Santiago Cabrera, Jack Coleman, Tawny Cypress, Noah Gray-Cabey, Greg Grunberg, Ali Larter, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Leonard Roberts, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Milo Ventimiglia. Guest stars included Jason Kyson Lee, Zachary Quinto, Ashley Crow, Jimmy Jean-Lewis, Christine Rose, and Thomas Dekker.
