While feeling the effects of laughing gas, Helga leaves a confessional message of love on Arnold's phone machine. She then has to get into the boarding house in order to erase the message.

After Harold shoplifts some meat from the butcher shop, he is sentenced to work off his punishment. Harold realizes he has discovered his calling and that he wants to become a butcher.

Sid's Revenge
Principal Wartz gives Sid a detention believeing he placed fake vomit so he could trip over, even though it wasn't Sid who put it there. As a result, Sid seeks revenge and reates "Revenge Doll" of Wartz's face, like they do in tribes. He thinks he killed Wartz with the curse. Arnold thinks he's paranoid, even though there are a few clues hinting out that Wartz is dead.


Roller Coaster
Eugene wants to ride with the gang, but they all think he's a jinx and won't go with him. Arnold decides to break the cycle of pain and rides with Eugene, but they get stuck.

It’s Career Day at PS 118 and all of the children are being assigned temporary jobs with adults in a specified field. While many of the students in Arnold’s class are getting interesting jobs, Arnold gets stuck with the Jolly Olly man, much to his chagrin.


Hey Harold!
Despite the fact that Harold is Jewish, he wants nothing more than to work in a butcher shop, as he has always dreamed of such since he was a toddler. Harold decides to forsake his traditions as he begs Mr. Green to give him a chance to help out, though Mr. Green is reluctant to do such, as he is uncertain if Harold has the work ethic for the position.

Rhonda has a party and only invites the cool kids. Arnold attends, but realizes her party is only for snobs. He leaves and has his own party with his buddies, and eventually Rhonda realizes that 'geek' is cooler than 'cool'.

The kids all try to outdo each other in a city-wide go-cart race.

Arnold has to do a book report, and he decides to do it on his favorite author, Agitha Cawfield, but he sees her bad side when she is very crabby & rude to him.

There is a new kid at P.S. 118, but he isn't the playful type, and he doesn't know the definition of fun, so Arnold and the gang try to teach him to have fun and take a break off his busy schedule.

Girl Trouble
Arnold, Gerald, Helga, and Phoebe are all chosen to work together on a History project, and Helga and Arnold pour pain on each other. Grandpa tells Arnold about his share of girl trouble with his now wife, Gertrude.


School Dance
P.S. 118 is have a school dance, and Arnold is chosen to provide the music entertainment for everyone, and when Dino Spumoni agrees to play his farewell concert there, he signs a depressing song.

The school is doing the play "Romeo & Juliet." Arnold lands the role as Romeo, so Helga will do anything to beat out the other girls to get the part of Juliet, so that she can kiss Arnold in the final scene.
