The onetime menagerie of more than a dozen has been whittled down to five animals plus a permitted rooster after their next-door neighbor complained to the town. But Bellaire officials are playing hardball: They send the Hogans a letter saying the family is in violation of the town code, and a hearing is scheduled. After another heated confrontation between Linda and the neighbor's gardener, they go to the hearing. Will the Hogans have to give up their precious pets?
