Recap

The scene opens with Carrie watching the surveillance coverage and watches Nicholas as he gets ready. Nicolas sees Abu Zamir in the mirror. Carrie notes that Nicholas is having hallucinations. David meets with Ms. Gaines, the Vice President’s secretary. She tells David that they need to know if Nicholas is really as sane as he portrays. Saul comes by and tells David that they may have found out how Abu Nazir is funding his organization. They go into a meeting where Carrie brings up the fact that the Prince’s advisor is the man who made the transfer of the necklace that was around Lynn’s neck. She points out that several people have come by for the purchase of the necklace and they need to get the information before Abu Nazir does. David authorizes the inspection of all the potential buyers that came into the Laundry mat to talk about the necklace. At the same time, one of the “buyers” is having breakfast...

Episode Quotes
Carrie: Guy hasn't broken the speed limit once.
Danny: Does that make him more, or less suspicious?
Carrie: It makes him boring as shit.

Carrie: Why are you being nice to me?
David: Do I need a reason?
Carrie: Not unless you want me to believe a word you're saying.

David: So tell me what's so important that it couldn't wait.
Saul: Abu Nazir, David. Remember him? Two horns, long tail, a strong scent of sulfur? I think we found out how he's financing his attack.

Carrie: I know what you did.
Saul: And you still haven't produced a single lead connecting Sergeant Brody to this or any plot against America.
Carrie: That doesn't mean I'm wrong. It just means he may be laying low for a while. Turned and trained, but a sleeper.
Saul: You're arguing against yourself, Carrie. We can't watch him indefinitely. You know it.
Carrie: But, Saul...
Saul: Listen to me. Listen carefully. This intelligence your asset gave up her life to acquire... do not squander it by continuing to invade the constitutionally protected privacy of the Brody family.
Carrie: It's not an either-or proposition. The money we're tracking is connected to Brody. I just haven't found out how.
Saul: If you're right, the money will eventually lead back to him. But until then, you need to take down that surveillance. First chance you get, you will remove the cameras and microphones from Sergeant Brody's house and cover your tracks. Are we clear?
