Bad Bromance - Recap

The scene opens with Joy and Victoria in the kitchen talking about how Rick is constantly saying I love you to her and the fact that they have a meeting with the INS Lawyer this afternoon. Victoria tells that she has other plans to be rich again and tells that she signed up for a Rich Man Finder site. She shows the picture of her that she sent in. It is from 1989 and she has that her skills involve weapons and ventriloquism. Elka comes in and tells that she is on a drinking bender because she is broken up with Max because her crime could ruin his son’s chances of getting into office. She tells that she is drunk already and tells she can tell because her edit button is turned off. Melanie comes in and tells that Pete is having a family reunion and wants her to meet his mom. She asks if Victoria, Elka and Joy will come and Elka tells that it is boring, but Joy and Victoria agree to go. Victoria gets a hit on the site and it is the sound of money changing.

Later, Joy and Rick meet with the INS Lawyer and Rick is flirting with the lawyer as he tells about how romantic and sensitive he is and tells that they met by way of a viewing of Dumbo and how he cried to it. Joy tries to correct him and the lawyer tells that they are definitely a real couple because their story is not 100% identical. After the lawyer leaves, Rick tells that he is in love. Joy tells Rick to marry her first before he cheats on her. Pete and Melanie go to the restaurant to meet his mother and Melanie tells that he shouldn’t tease her because it is worse than sex in the morning. Pete’s Uncle Ned walks up and he is a priest. Melanie feels embarrassed. They go inside and meet Agnieszka, Pete’s mother. She is a traditional Polish woman and Melanie tells that her name is like Agnes Morehead the mean mother-in-law on Bewitched. Agnieszka doesn’t like her already. She talks to Agnieszka and tells that she is divorced. Agnieszka tells that she had abandoned her husband and Melanie tells that her ex was sleeping with other women. Agniezka calls her fridged and Melanie tells that she is not and that she enjoys sex. Just then Uncle Ned turns around.

Melanie goes up to Pete and tells that she can’t make her like her and he tells that it is because of his brother Henry. She loved him and Pete was always getting leftovers of Henry. Joy and Rick are at the restaurant and Rick tells that every time he touches Joy’s hand, women are staring. The INS Lawyer comes up and Rick tells that he will get her a drink. Joy goes up to Melanie and asks how it is going with Pete’s mother. She tells that she hates her no matter how hard Melanie tries. Victoria comes in with an old man in her arms and she puts him in the wheelchair. She wheels him in and Melanie asks why she is carrying an old man. She asks how things are going and Elka comes in. Melanie tells Elka that she can talk to Agnieszka for her. However, Elka is totally drunk and tells that she is really drunk. Not knowing what she said, Melanie tells that it goes the same for her. Hank, the plumber that Melanie had sex with when she first got to Cleveland comes in and Victoria tells that they should say something, but Elka, Victoria and Joy are too busy undressing Hank with their eyes. Agnieszka goes up to Hank and calls him Henry. Pete introduces Melanie and when Melanie turns around she is in shock. Pete tells that he has been waiting for this day and tells that he is no longer second-hand Pete.

Melanie and pulls Hank to the side and tells that nothing happened between them and he tells that he still thinks of Melanie. He tells her to meet her for a kiss outside and if she doesn’t feel anything, then he will leave her alone. Melanie goes up to Joy and Victoria and asks what she should do. She tells that she is going to do it so that Hank will leave her alone. Rick is continuing to flirt with the lawyer and Joy comes over and tells that he is going to ruin things for her. Melanie tells Hank to make it quick. They kiss and she tells that she felt nothing. Hanks tries to stop her and his wife walks up. Melanie tells that Hank was just making sure that she was the right girl for her. Elka tells that Victoria’s date looks dead. She pulls a piece of paper from his hands that says that Victoria looked younger in her picture and for her to take him home. Pete makes a toast and Hank interrupts and tells that he has to say something. Melanie tells that it is not necessary, but Hank only tells that Pete is a lucky guy. Elka tells that she thought he was going to talk about the time he and Melanie had sex on the boat.

Later in the kitchen, Melanie tells that Pete would have found out sooner or later and that she is now single again. Joy tells that Rick is with the lawyer and her chances for a Green Card are out the window and Victoria’s billionaire was horrible and she tells that she couldn’t look at herself in the mirror again if she did. Melanie tells that they are 4 single ladies on a Saturday night. Suddenly the money sound chimes and Melanie thinks Victoria is looking for another rich man. Elka tells that it is her. She registered when she was her bender was over. That is her screen name “Bender Over”.
