Recap

The scene opens with Elka looking at the reservation list and the host tells her that she is not allowed to look at that. She says that Robert Redford is supposed to be eating at the same restaurant and she wants to meet him. He tells Elka no, but she smiles and he allows her. Melanie, Victoria and Joy are talking to their friend and talk about how nice Cleveland is and they don’t have to do anything. Victoria has a role on “All My Children” and she is to lie on the steps in bra and underwear and give a heart felt speech. She says that Susan Luci doesn’t have any lines at all. Melanie tells her friend that Victoria hasn’t eaten anything. Her friend suggests that she eats some carrots or at least chew them up and then spit them out. All the girls are shocked to not know the latest trends. Melanie says that she is selling her home in L.A. finally. Elka comes over and Joy asks if Robert Redford has put on a restraining order already and Elka says that he is eating there tomorrow. Melanie says that it is impossible to get a reservation and Elka says that it is not hard for Cleveland grandmas. She smiles and the girls’ friend says that she never has seen natural aging. Victoria sees a man checking them out and Melanie says that they are probably romanticizing Cleveland too much, but then find out that the man was waving at the cute blondes behind them. ..
