LeBron is Le Gone - Recap

The scene opens with Melanie and Elka at the bar and a bunch of men are watching the baseball game. Melanie asks for the remote to change it and she uses her charms to get it from the bartender. The men get upset, but Melanie uses her charms on them and they agree that it is alright. Elka is impressed and tell her to try to get them ice-cream. She says that she isn’t wearing the right top for it, but she will try. Meanwhile, Joy is coming back from the INS office when she meets a homeless man when she picks up part of his house to cover her head. He says that there is a remodeling fee and Joy realizes that she forgot her wallet at the INS office. She says that she has to find an American before she gets deported. Opera Guy says that he is an American citizen. Meanwhile, Victoria is meeting with a news broadcasting network for an anchor job. He tells her that she is unlikeable.

Joy goes to the bar where Melanie and Elka are at and says that she is engaged to Opera Guy, the homeless guy. She says that she has two weeks to get a green card and says that he is going to be living with them for a while. Melanie looks over and sees Jason Disbrow, shooting coach for the Cavaliers. Elka tells her to tell Jason that J.J. Hicksen better square up. Jason comes over and asks if he can watch the game. Melanie hands over the remote and says what Elka told her to say. Jason is impressed and asks to buy her a drink. Later, Elka teaches Melanie the fine points of basketball. She wants courtside seats for the games, not bleachers when Melanie asks if she can just sleep with him. Victoria comes home and tries to be likable to everyone and care about people’s opinions. Opera Guy comes over and Joy says that they have a cot for him in the garage. However, Victoria says that he can stay in their guest bedroom. She sits down in the chair and cries that her career is over. They suggest that she act like she cares and she likes their idea.

Victoria records herself reporting on Joy’s engagement to Opera Guy and is showing that she can be likeable. She shows this to the head of the network and he likes it. She gets the job. Meanwhile, Melanie’s date with Jason is underway and he asks who he should start and Melanie has a bluetooth with Elka listening in and giving her the words to say. He says that he and Labrone, before he left, were close and Melanie tells that it is good because he will play a couple of games. In the kitchen, Elka is getting frustrated and Opera Guy comes downstairs calling their shower the “piss of angels”. He says that his plastic owl protects him from squirrels. Joy says that she has a sheet full of questions that the INS officer is going to ask. In the living room, they leave to go out to dinner and Melanie says that he needs to stop beating himself over the fact that Lebrone left the Cleveland Cavaliers because it wasn’t his fault that he left. Jason says that it is because he was trying reverse psychology. Elka is in the kitchen trying to get to Jason because he is to blame for Lebrone leaving. Melanie rushes him out of the house.

Victoria is at the Polar Bear Club and is broadcasting the story of the men who’re going to go into the water for a swim. She is doing great until she feels the water and says that she is really close to cutting open one of the guys and crawling inside because it is really cold. Joy, Opera Guy and Elka are watching and Joy feels bad for Victoria. The INS officer shows up and says that she is there for the “surprise” review. Melanie is over at Jason’s and he cannot stop talking about Lebrone. Melanie realizes that the date is not going anywhere and she keeps saying things that remind Jason of Lebrone. Back at the house, the INS officer meets with Opera Guy first and he has the Bluetooth on. Joy tries to give him the words to say, but he is not doing good. He hears scratching noises and Joy says that it is just a squirrel. Opera Guy runs away.

The INS officer is upset that Joy tried to get a homeless man to marry her and asks to use their bathroom. Elka says sarcastically that it was an airtight plan. Victoria comes in and says that her career is over. Melanie comes in and says that there are no courtside seats for her. Elka thinks that she slept with Jason and that is why. Melanie asks why people are obsessed with their teams. The INS officer comes out of the bathroom and Joy says that she is going to get deported. Victoria and Melanie say that can’t happen because Joy is needed in America. The INS officer is touched and says that she has always wanted to live with her girlfriends too. She says that she will give her an extension to give her more time to fill out the right paperwork. Opera Guy comes back and says that he can’t marry her without marrying for love. Elka laughs that Joy can’t even hold onto a homeless man.
