Law & Elka - Recap

The scene opens with Elka and her lawyer, Kurt, in court. Melanie asks how he is doing. Judge Lesser asks Kurt how his weekend was and sees that he has a scar on the left side of his face. Elka says that she told him that softball is an ugly man’s sport. Judge Lesser says that she thought that he was at his mother’s house this last weekend. Kurt asks if he can she Judge Lesser in her chambers, but she declines and says that she needs a moment to process all the new information. Melanie tells that it is not over and tells her to look at Juror #8. He is looking at Elka with flirty eyes and she tells that she is going to do it. The judge comes up and Elka is sexually sucking on her piece of butterscotch candy so that Juror #8 will see.

Meanwhile at the Ohio Governor’s Mansion, Victoria gets ready to interview Heather Shaw, the governor’s wife and she is polite to her. However, Heather is not proper at all. She is all about getting her husband to the Presidency. Victoria likes her and the fact that she wants to be famous. Joy comes in and tells that Melanie was trying to update them on the trial, but had her cell phone confiscated. Heather recognizes Joy and asks if Joy was the one who did Oprah’s arch and Joy says that she is not a liberty to say. She asks if Joy can pluck her husband’s eyebrows and says that she can name her price. Joy tells that she has been having issues with her green card, but Heather ignores her and tells her aide to get a fatter kid who is obese and not some husky kid when he comes in with a child for the interview. She leads him to the buffet table.

Back in the court room, Elka takes the stand and flirts with Juror #8 again and he smiles. She explains why she hid the jewels. She causes Juror #8 to get hot and bothered. Judge Lesser asks if he is alright and he says that he is and that Elka can talk as long as she wants. Later, Elka is in good spirits and the rest of the girls are nervous. They asks why she is so calm and she shows a letter from Juror #8 and tells that she is going to meet him in the courthouse broom closet tomorrow to get her acquitted for sure. The girls don’t like that at all. The next day, Elka comes out of the broom closet and says that justice has been “serviced”. They wait for the verdict and Victoria comes in and tells that Joy is the governor’s hooker. She says that there is a picture of her straddling him. Joy tells that she was plucking his eyebrows. Victoria says that Joy can admit to the affair on her show. She tells that she won’t and never will get her Green Card. Joy refuses. The judges gets in and says that the juror has a verdict. They find her guilty and Elka is shocked.

In the lobby, the girls talk to Elka and thought that she “tampered” with Juror #8. She says that she did and doesn’t understand. They walk up to him and he doesn’t recognize Elka. His driver tells them that he suffers from amnesia when he gets over stimulated. Elka tells that it is sad because he doesn’t remember what he had. Later that evening, Melanie and Victoria can’t sleep and Melanie is upset and doesn’t know what she is going to say at Elka’s sentencing hearing. Victoria tries to turn it around and say that her role on “The Edge of Tomorrow” when she was in prison. She apologizes and says that she gets nervous when she is scared. Joy gets up to and Melanie says that Elka is probably up too. Victoria says that they need to get on the story and she needs to become a celebrity in the media. Joy doesn’t like the idea. Melanie comes in and says that Elka is gone. She left a note that says that she ran off rather than face the judgment of the courts. Meanwhile, Elka arrives into Omishville and says that it works for her. To be continued…
