Love Thy Neighbor - Recap

The scene opens with Joy going into a sperm Bank asking about their program. The lady there tells that all their doners are nice and smart. She pulls out one that she tells is retired. Joy is interested in him and she tells the lady that she has had a rough week lately. She shows Joy the picture and it is Rick, their next door neighbor. The next scene shows Joy in bed with Rick and says “Oh God”. The next night, Melanie gets home and Elka asks if her neighborhood watch training is over already. She says that it is. Joy comes out of the kitchen and asks if Rick is back. She says that he is and she tells that she has to go out now. Melanie starts to wonder what is wrong with Joy because of her behavior being weird.

Victoria comes downstairs and says that they are doing a musical version of “Driving Miss Daisy” and that she is not allowed to audition for it because she was told that she can’t pull off being old. Elka tells that they are right and Melanie suggests that she show them up and get pointers from Elka. Victoria agrees that it would be good to do that. Meanwhile, Joy talks to someone about her and Rick and that it was something she can’t explain. However, the person she is talking to is Rick. He shows her why she likes him and gives her a back massage and Joy melts. She tells that they can’t tell anyone and he says that he will continue if she will give Melanie the hint of his “skills”. She tells that she will not and says that she just wants to have sex with him and tosses him on the bed.

Melanie looks at the flier on drug uses symptoms and realizes that Joy is showing these kinds of signs. Victoria, dressed like an old lady, comes in and sits down. Elka tells that she has her getting up grunt mixed up with her sitting down grunt. Joy comes in happy and tells that she is going to make them some lemoneade. She doesn’t even recognize Victoria. Melanie is certain that Joy is on drugs because of her euphoric attitude. She calls Rick over and he says that he thought that she needed him for something else. She tells that Joy has been acting strange and he says that he will take her where the action is. Meanwhile, Elka and Victoria go to the restaurant and Victoria is dressed as the old lady. She sees the director of the musical version of “Driving Miss Daisy”. She goes over and introduces herself with her character name. He says that he would like her to audition for the part.

In the van, Rick tells that they have to wait and hang out for a bit. Melanie denies Rick’s pressure of champagne and Rick tells that he will release the tension and starts to rub Melanie’s back. She instantly doesn’t want him to stop. Suddenly, Joy opens the van door and tells Rick to back off Melanie. She confesses that she and Rick have been having sex. She asks how and Joy tells that it is because of the backrub. Back at the restaurant, the director makes advances and tells Victoria tells that she has to get back to her younger sister. Elka tells that the director is a “wrinkle chaser” and Victoria says that she is going to get the part and not reveal herself until opening night.

Melanie and Joy get back to the house and Melanie asks if Rick was that good. Joy refers to it as the muffins that they didn’t want after they found how many calories were in them. She says that he is muffin good. Melanie says that they will just have to be strong. Joy tells that she needs her muffin and Melanie makes Joy go back inside. Victoria gives the audition at the house and he says that she is better than Victoria Chase, a soap actress. Victoria tells that she is great and he asks why she cares so much and she reveals herself and tells that he can do the play without her. Later, the girls are on the bench and Joy admits to having sex with Rick. Victoria asks how that happened and Rick comes up and tells that he is the best because of practice. He says that he wanted to invite them over for a big pizza dinner where he will knead the dough himself. He makes movements with his hands and Joy and Melanie get flustered. Victoria asks what the fuss is about and Rick massages her. A boy comes up and he looks like Rick. He says that they are over town.
