The scene opens with Joy getting a message from someone on a social network. Melanie says that she was with Joy at the park too and thinks that it is a message to her instead of Joy and says that the hair tuck is her signature move. Joy writes the secret admirer back for more information. Victoria comes downstairs and says that her daughter Emmy is coming for a visit. Melanie and Joy are happy for her and say that they haven’t seen Emmy for a while. Melanie asks how old she is now and says that she must be 26. Victoria remembers because it was the same night that she was nominated and lost to an Emmy and one way or another, she was taking one home. Melanie says that she is probably coming for Victoria’s support since her show got canceled. However, Elka comes in and tells that TMZ says that Emmy is writing a Tell-All book about Victoria. Elka says that the book is called “Everyday is Mother’s Day: How I Survived Being Raised By Daytime’s Evil Queen”.
Victoria gets an early copy of Emmy’s book and Joy is appalled that Victoria had her housekeeper stand-in as Emmy’s mother for the Mother/Daughter Day. Victoria says that she was away. They also find in the book that Victoria lied to her about being allergic to sugar and Victoria tells that her perfect teeth and figure show a thank you to her. She tells that Emmy adored her Irish Nanny Bridgett and that is why she has an Irish accent when she says potatoes. Victoria says that she is going to kill Emmy with kindness so that she will kill her book. Joy gets a follow-up post for more information from their secret admirer and she tells that she arranged a meeting to see who the cute brunette that he saw was. Later, Melanie asks if Victoria is making cookies and she tells that she just poured vanilla on tin foil and put it in the oven. She has cookies for her from the Bakery. She is also going to “mirror” her and get her on her side. She says that she does it to them all the time. Joy tells that is horrible and Victoria says that she agrees.
Emmy comes in and they compliment each other. However, when Emmy smells the foil cookies, she realizes that Victoria read her book and is upset. Victoria says that she was going to be nice to Emmy and Emmy says that she just came to get a quote from Victoria. She tells that she is sorry that she wasn’t the mother she wanted and says that she didn’t see her complain when she gave her everything. They storm off and Victoria goes outside. She tells Joy and Melanie that she wanted to get the first slam of the door. They go outside and they offer to talk to Emmy, but Victoria says that they are too weak for Emmy’s attitude. Victoria has an idea to bring in someone who raised her most of Emmy’s life. Victoria tells that she brought Emmy’s Nanny Bridgett, but it is Elka dressed in Irish clothing and talking in an Irish accent.
Meanwhile, Joy and Melanie go to the bar to find that the person leaving things on the social network is a little boy. They try to leave and he waves them over. He says that he is looking for a woman for his dad. They say that it is crazy. Another woman comes over and the boy tells that he has two roses and one of the women is going to be eliminated before moving on. Joy and Melanie try to leave, but when he shows the picture of his father, they decide to stay longer. Back at the house, Victoria and Elka try to fool Emmy and she buys it. Elka tells Emmy not to talk to Virginia that way and not to write bad things about her either. She realizes that she is right and tells that she has to call her agent and tell him to cancel the book and movie. However, at the sound of a movie, Victoria comes out and tells that Elka is not Emmy’s Nanny Bridget and that she is going to call the authorities. To bribe her to leave, Victoria gives Elka a ticket to a baseball game. Victoria turns around and tells Emmy to talk with her about the movie.
Back at the bar, Joy tells that her little one-on-one date with the boy was good and says that they connected. She says that this is crazy and Melanie says that she should leave because it will make for a good article for her column. Joy tells that Melanie cannot justify everything for the column. The boy comes over and tells that he has reached a decision. Back at the house, Emmy says that she will pretend to have forgiven her. Victoria tells that Emmy isn’t allergic to pizza and compliments her acting. Emmy tells that she tried to talk to her father, but he was not clear as to what he did for a living. Victoria says that he was in the living of up to no good and says that he had a wondering eye. Nanny Bridgett was there because she knew that Emmy’s father wouldn’t chase after her. Emmy says that she really forgives Victoria and says that they can’t put it in the movie because it will ruin the ending.
Back at the bar, the boy gives a rose to the other woman and as he is about to give the rose to Joy or Melanie, his father comes in and tells that he isn’t going to leave his step-mother. Melanie asks who would have gotten the rose and he is unclear by telling that the one with a sparkle in her eye and a sadness in her heart. Both Joy and Melanie think it is them. They get back to the house and Melanie asks who is going to be playing her and Emmy says that Sandra Bollock type of woman. Joy tells that people say that she looks like Kate Beckingsale, but Melanie snaps back and says that no one does. Emmy gets a text from her agent and says that she got the lead in a movie. Joy asks Emmy which one has a sparkle in her eye and a sadness in her heart. Emmy tells that her mother does. The episode ends.
