Indecent Proposals - Recap

The scene opens with Melanie writing a column on sex with no strings attached. The scene flashbacks to where they are in the restaurant and the girls see a man being romantic and picking up a woman. Elka says something sexual and Joy tells them that she allowed Elka to watch Sex and the City and now realizes that it is a mistake. Victoria takes the attention off Elka and onto herself with the fact that she is the spokesperson for Treys O’Leigh Cosmetics and gets $1,000 every time she says it on her show and $10,000 if it goes national. Victoria gets a text from Johnny who asks if she is in the mood for a “booty call”. Melanie says that a woman can’t have sex with a guy without having some feelings toward them. She asks if it is possible for a woman to do that. Joy says that she is booty call cursed. She tells them about mothers walking in and hidden cameras being revealed. Melanie says that it would be a good thing for her column. They agree to do it as well and Elka tells them about Fred, her friend that she has known for 20 years.

Later that night, Melanie is on her date with the guy she wants to have no strings attached sex with. She tells that she and whipped crème are for desert. He calls for the check, but she is unsure about it. Eventually he leaves and Joy is sitting next to her. She tells that her “booty call” didn’t go through either when she saw that the guy had every woman that he has ever slept with tattooed on his body. Meanwhile, Johnny goes to the house and Victoria comes out in a nurse’s outfit. He falls to his knees and tells her to call 911. Thinking that he is getting into character, she laughs. However, it is not a trick and they rush him to the ER. The next day, Victoria is nursing Johnny back to health and he apologizes. She tells that Johnny can do a segment on “Oh, Hi Ohio!” He says that he can’t because any heart attack without drugs involved is a career killer. In the kitchen Melanie and Joy find out the Elka’s “booty call” followed through and Fred comes over and says that he had a fun time and hopes to do it again. Elka says goodbye to him. Victoria comes in and says that it is hard to take care of someone. Elka says that she and Fred are compatible. She tells that she is going to propose. Johnny comes in and asks for chocolate milk with a bendy straw.

Later, the girls set up and inside, Johnny writes a song for Elka’s wedding. Victoria says that he needs to write songs that he used to and he says that he is going to mellow out since the heart attack. Victoria says that Elka loves Fred no matter what and it makes sense that they be married. Johnny takes this as an invitation and asks Victoria to marry him. Meanwhile, Joy asks Elka what is with all the beer. Elka says that she wants him to say yes. Melanie says that Johnny asks Victoria to marry him, but she told him no. Elka starts to have cold feet to do it, but Fred comes up. Joy goes up to Victoria and tells that she heard that Johnny proposed. However, she is not happy about it. Outside, Chance knocks Fred into the well accidentally and comes in barking. Elka says that Fred is stuck in the well and they tell that it is Chance, not Lassie. Elka says that Fred texted her. Victoria take the chance to get a story so that they can go National and she can get $10,000 for mentioning the cosmetics. However, the story doesn’t go nation right away because there are pandas at the zoo.

Victoria milks the story and makes it sound like a hero fell in the well. Elka says that it is good that Chance didn’t fall in. Victoria has an idea and asks for the dog treats. A little later, Victoria reports that Chance fell in the well and that makes the story go national. However, Chance is inside with Johnny. They get Fred out of the well and Victoria has the camera cut away and has Chance run up to her and she mentions the cosmetics. Fred says that he wants to marry Elka. She says yes. Victoria feels the vibe and tells Johnny that she will marry him. However, they realize quickly that what they have is perfect. Melanie and Joy get with the firemen and Melanie writes up her column with a fireman’s hat on. The episode ends.
