Elka's Wedding - Recap

The scene opens with the day of Elka’s wedding and Joy and Victoria wake up from being passed out from a wild night of drinking. They look at each other and they both have big hair. They don’t remember what happened the night before and find Melanie taped to the wall with a football helmet on. They all don’t remember what happened. The scene flashback to the day before Elka’s Wedding Day. Victoria answers the door and says that the stripper is there. However, the stripper is a little overweight. Elka comes in with the real stripper and Victoria realizes that the person she was talking to was a real cop. She tells that she will take the ticket that he was going to give her. However, he recognizes her as a local celebrity and says that he isn’t going to give her a ticket.

Joy comes out and asks what the police officer wanted. Victoria says that he isn’t going to give her a ticket because she is a “local” celebrity. However, Victoria says that she is an “international” celebrity. Melanie comes in and tells that they are going to take Asprin and eat a lot of carbohydrates to avoid any hangovers tonight. They go back to the present and Joy finds the “aspirin”, but it is the dog’s de-worming medicine. They see the beer and Maple Syrup. Joy remembers that she kissed a man who smelled of Maple Syrup. Victoria says that she did too and says that she must have kissed him afterward. Joy smells the other men in the house and none of them have Maple Syrup. Joy realizes that she got married. Victoria sees that she has a ring on too.

Melanie gives the men a gift bag as they leave and she tells the girls that she is a good hostess. One of the men asks what he is going to do with Mascara. She tells that he can give it to his girlfriend and he gives it to Melanie. He says that he made out with her for 3 hours. Melanie is disgusted with herself. Victoria says that she can’t find Elka. She tells that she must be with Fred. However, he comes over and says that he needs his lucky shorts and says that Elka needs to call him. They start to panic and Melanie remembers that she talked to Elka about her finding a sign. They show Melanie drunk and Elka tells that she hasn’t gotten her sign yet and they hear an owl. Melanie climbs up a tree and talks to the owl. Inside, Victoria and Joy are drunk too and Joy tells that she can’t believe that Elka is getting married before she has. She tells that she will get married tonight. Outside, Melanie sees the owl take a squirrel and she falls out of the tree.

With two hours until the wedding, Melanie starts to remember that they went to a Frat House that used to be Elka and Bobby’s house. That would explain the guys. She remembers the mugs at the bar. She says that Bobby arranged them one time to propose to Elka. They get there and see that they say “Don’t do it”. They wonder if Elka saw that. The bartender says that they entered the contest and tells Melanie that she entered a wet t-shirt contest. He says that she was already wet and challenged everyone. Melanie remembers how she got wet. She tells how they were at the church and Elka points to a random scripture. Victoria reads it and it says that she will face many troubles. Victoria tells her to do it again and makes up the scripture. Melanie says that it doesn’t say that and says that Victoria is blasphemous. However, they point out that Melanie is eating the communion wafers. Melanie says that she did a bad thing and then falls into the holy water. Melanie says that she committed a lot of sins. Victoria says that the wafers weren’t blessed. She tells that she played a Nun on “Edge of Tomorrow”. Pancakes go by and Joy and Victoria remember them.

They show them eating pancakes and the bar running out of Maple Syrup. Victoria and Joy decide to go to Canada. They tell Melanie that they snuck on a cargo plane with the Cast of Hairspray. They decide that the last place that Elka could be at is the last place where she and Bobby were together. With 10 minutes until the wedding, Elka is at Bobby’s grave and asks for a sign. Fred comes up and says that he was asking for a sign from his dead wife and Elka realizes that she has her sign. The wedding finally comes and Joy and Victoria walk up. They see the priest and realize that they didn’t get married to guys, they got married to each other! Elka comes in and walks down the isle. One after another of Elka’s life tell her to marry them. Max comes in and says that he should have never let her go. However, a man comes in and says that Elka is already married to him. Elka tells everyone that he is her dead husband Bobby.
