The scene opens with Melanie on the phone with the dry cleaners. She tells them that she can’t believe that they lost her dress. She confuses the drycleaner lady as a man and apologizes for it. She tells Victoria and Elka that the drycleaners lost her “magic” dress, the dress that forms to her without any assistance. Victoria tells everyone to frown now that Joy is awake because it is the anniversary of the day Joy was stood up at the alter. Elka says that she frowns every time Joy comes into the room. Joy comes in with a dried up bouquet and Victoria and Melanie are over-nice to her. Elka asks what she is doing with a dried up thing. Joy says that it is her bouquet. Elka says that she was talking to the bouquet. Melanie gets a text telling her that another lady has her dress. Melanie calls the lady to find out that she died. The funeral is today and they can’t give it to her. Victoria says that she can’t allow that and Elka suggests that they crash the funeral. They read the obituaries and Victoria sees that the lady collected Soap Opera Digest and that she is going to get that.
They get to the funeral and go over the rules. Melanie says that if they are going to get caught, walk away and say that they are overcome with emotion. Melanie and Victoria go upstairs to find the items they need. Elka and Joy walk off and the lady’s granddaughter comes up to Joy. She asks where she knew her grandmother from and Joy says that she met at Hummel-Con, a collector’s convention. The granddaughter is confused and Joy walks away telling her that she is overcome with emotion. Elka goes up to several men and says that she is single. Roy, the waiter from the restaurant a while back, comes up and says hello. Elka says that he never called her and says that she isn’t interested. He apologizes and says that he thinks that the dead woman was murdered. He says that he saw the live-in nurse bury what looked like a syringe in the backyard. Melanie walks up to Joy and asks how things are going. She says that they are fine and Melanie tells her that she can’t find her dress. The granddaughter comes up and tells everyone who wants to pay their respects can now. They go into the room with the casket and Melanie sees that the woman is lying in her “magic” dress.
Meanwhile, Elka and Roy come back from trying to dig up the syringe and Roy is still certain that the woman didn’t die of natural causes. Elka suggests that they look at the computer like they do in “The Closer”. It is password protected, but Elka finds that it is B-I-N-G-O. Elka laughs and says that the woman’s screensaver is the Ticklish Loris. She says that it isn’t the Honey Badger video, but it is still funny. Roy is confused. Victoria comes in and asks what they are doing and Roy tells her that they are looking through a dead woman’s computer to solve a murder. Victoria says that is what they do on “The Closer”. Victoria finds the copy of the Soap Opera Digest and gloats on how attractive she still is. However, when she does a hair flip, she throws out her neck. Melanie and Joy look at the woman and Melanie tells Joy to climb in the casket and take off the dress. Victoria comes in and catches them and tells them that they should lock the door. Victoria reads them her interview that she did for the Digest and realizes that she hasn’t done anything that she wanted to do in her career. They hear someone and Joy hides in the coffin. Melanie is half dressed when the man comes in and says that he wanted to pay his respects. She blames the lack of clothes from her overcome with emotion. Victoria tries to stop him from opening the casket by saying that the woman was disfigured, but he does anyway. They leave.
Elka and Roy continue to look up any information and Roy suggests that they try to see if there were any web searches on making a poison. The man goes up to the casket and tells the dead woman that he is sorry that he broke off their engagement. He asks if she will forgive him and Joy, who is hiding in the casket, says that she doesn’t. She climbs out and says that she doesn’t forgive him for that. He tells Joy that he knew that he wasn’t right for the woman and that is why he left. Joy realizes that must have been why she was left at the alter too. He says that he loved the woman. Everyone goes in and Melanie asks how they are going to get the dress off now. Victoria is caught with the Soap Digest and the granddaughter asks her to say a few words. Victoria makes up a story on how they met and they don’t buy it. A man comes up and says that he was the nurse and Elka shouts out that he is the murderer.
Afterward, Roy tells Elka that he made the murder up so that he could get her away from the other men. He says that he would like to try again with Elka and kisses her. Later at the house, Melanie is sad that she didn’t get her “magic” dress and that she will never see it again. Joy says that she is done with having a non-anniversary and says that it is time to move on. Victoria says that she is ready to move on from the words of a young girl and says that she can still make it further. Melanie is still sad that she will never see the dress and Joy reminds her that it was a burial, not a cremation. Elka says that they are not going to use her shovel because it is for solving crimes, not creating them. Melanie says that it is her “magic” dress though and Elka tells her that Honey Badger don’t give no *bleep*. The episode ends.
