Love Is Blind - Recap

The scene opens with Joy saying that there is a good looking man looking at her. However, Elka tells the other girls that the guy is blind. Joy goes over and realizes that he is blind. She gets embarrassed and tries to leave, but he tells her that she has a pretty voice. The man introduces himself as Mark and Joy introduces herself. Joy asks how old Mark is and he says that he is 22. Joy lies and says that she is 26. She gives the waiter an extra tip to keep quiet. Victoria gets a text that Emmy has a huge announcement. She is bringing her fiancé with her. Victoria assumes that it is A-Rod, from the Yankees. Elka boos at the sound of his name. Joy comes over and says that Mark thinks that she is 26-years-old. Elka says that Mark must be blind and dumb. She jokes and says that by the end of it he will wish that he was deaf too. She looks at Joy and sees that she is not happy at all.

Later, the girls get ready for Emmy and her fiancé. Joy tests out her 26-year-old slang. Elka brings in cupcakes loaded up with Kayan Pepper and Laxatives. Emmy comes in and Victoria welcomes her. Emmy goes up to Melanie and tells her that this is special. Will, Melanie’s son, comes in and Melanie wonders why he is there. Emmy says that Will is her fiancé. She tells them that they are head over heels in love. Victoria and Melanie are shocked and are even more when Emmy says that she is pregnant. However, it is a lie. Emmy says that she just wanted a dramatic moment. Emmy says that they met in a restaurant and she saw Brad Pitt and Will gave her everything she needed and she fell in love with him. Mark gets there and Joy acts 26. He buys it and they go out. Emmy says that Mark is hot and Melanie hint to Will that is how she is, but he doesn’t care. She commands Will to get her bags.

Melanie tells Victoria that she didn’t picture Will spending his whole life with Emmy. Victoria says that they are just getting married, not spending their whole lives together. Victoria brags and says that Emmy has dated superstars. Victoria says that this is Emmy’s first “waiter” and they talk about how they need to destroy their marriage. The next day, Elka calls A-Rod and makes him cry. Elka tells him people don’t like him because he is good, except when it counts. Joy comes in talking slang and asks what is going one with “Wemmy”, Will and Emmy together. She tells Victoria that she TMZ’d it to her. Victoria says that they tried thinking what to do, but no use. Joy says that they need to “Flip the Script and Change it up!” Melanie says that she is going to smack her. Victoria realizes that they have to talk to their kids. Mark comes over and Joy is happy that she doesn’t have to do her hair and makeup. They talk on the porch and he says that he is on the list for Thursday to get his sight back.

Joy talks to the girls in the kitchen and asks for something that will make her look 26-years-old. However, she doesn’t know where to get something like that. She says that the sex is great and that she doesn’t want to give that up. Victoria says that she has a guy that could give her a face crème. Joy says that she doesn’t care if it is legal or not. She suggests the “Gene Treatment”, an experimental beauty crème. Melanie tries to talk her out of it, but Joy is game. Later, Melanie talks to Emmy and says that she is not reliable with marriage. She defends that and says that they were bad boys and then starts to drift away from the conversation thinking about them. Meanwhile, Victoria talks to Will and tells him that Emmy may have a good rack now, but it will fade. He laughs, but Victoria says that “chest butt” is coming. Emmy says that she is going to boss around Will because she loves him. Will comes back into the kitchen and says that Victoria is lying about “Chest Butt”. Will tells Victoria that he will be there for Emmy and will listen to her when she needs it.

Later, Joy gets back from her skin treatment and is wrapped up in bandages. She says that it will be worth it in the end. Melanie tells Victoria that they need to embrace Emmy and Will’s wedding. Elka is still talking to A-Rod. She tries to make him stop crying. Joy comes down and she looks exactly the same. However, her hair is falling out. She tries to go get some rest and Melanie and Victoria see that it is a lot worse.

Later that night, Melanie and Victoria are with Emmy and Will and they have different views and Emmy eventually gets up and leaves. Victoria gets up and goes after her. Melanie says that it is for the best. Victoria comes in and tells Will that Emmy wants to throw the ring in his face. He says that he remembers that in the pre-nump. Melanie says that she was hoping that they were going to be Grandmas together. Emmy is at the house and she asks her agent to give the address to Ryan Gosling. Mark comes to the door and has his vision back. He sees Emmy and confuses her as Joy. She plays along and she sees Joy. Mark asks her if she is the mother and Joy says that she is. The phone rings and Elka comes in. She tells her not to answer it because it is A-Rod. Joy says that she is sad too and talks to him. She lies and says that she is 26-years-old. The episode ends.
