Ambitious receptionist Charlie is interviewed by head honcho Rebecca for the position of deputy manager - and finds he has to persuade a visiting rock band to spend a small fortune during their stay.

Image is everything in the hotel business, explains Charlie. And it's not good for your image if your hotel is full of hookers and suicides.

Unfortunately, Hotel Babylon is having problems with both. Tony is having a crisis of confidence after mistaking a guest for a hooker, and Charlie has to stop frustrated musician Mr. Machin from killing himself.

A wealthy Russian student begs Charlie to find her someone to marry so she can obtain a visa. The cash-strapped deputy manager agrees, but has trouble convincing the bride-to-be's father and a suspicious Rebecca that the marriage is genuine.

While Jackie goes on a date, Charlie finds himself flirting with beautiful guest Alice. Meanwhile, Anna is prepared to do whatever it takes to win over millionaire lawyer Richard, convinced that he is the man for her. Even if it means breaching the 'strictly no staff/guest relationships' rule.

Rebecca's in a great mood after patching things up with her husband. It doesn't stop her clashing with Charlie over a guest with something to hide though.

Down in the basements of the hotel, Jackie is thrown off balance when a raid by Immigration Officers brings her own dodgy status into the light. What can she give them to avoid being deported?

6 :01x06 - Series 1, Episode 6

Rebecca leaves Charlie in charge of the night shift, while she escapes to pack for a romantic getaway with her husband.

But when Anna thinks she's heard a murder being committed, and a guest is hurt, Charlie's left with no option but to call Rebecca. Can she sort out the problem and still convince her husband she can manage a career and a marriage? And will she have any faith in Charlie in the future?

7 :01x07 - Series 1, Episode 7

Money is stolen from a wealthy guest's room, and evidence suggests a member of staff is responsible. Rebecca attempts to find the culprit by calling in an auditor, and putting her employees under the spotlight. Meanwhile, Les Dennis checks in and helps himself to a few more of the hotel's complimentary items than expected.

8 :01x08 - Series 1, Episode 8

The hotel receives a very bad inspection report, and could be forced to lay staff off and make cuts. Meanwhile Charlie takes charge of a high-profile witness in a gangland case, and Rebecca is thrilled when the hotel's managing directors turn up and offer her a promotion.

9 :02x01 - Series 2, Episode 1

When Rebecca offers a MP some advise on how to get over her husband's affair it goes horribly wrong. The staff help try and keep a couple apart as they both recover from having plastic surgery.

10 :02x02 - Series 2, Episode 2

When a football team checks into the hotel causing mayhem the staff plot their revenge. Anna finds herself involved in a sinister cult.

11 :02x03 - Series 2, Episode 3

Anna becomes jealous when the hostess of a masked ball turns out to be an old friend. Ben is given a night to remember by an old school friend.

12 :02x04 - Series 2, Episode 4

When a man threatens to jump off a balcony at the hotel, Charlie tries to help him. Rebecca celebrates her divorce with some old friends but receives some shocking news.

13 :02x05 - Series 2, Episode 5

A reality television star checks into the hotel and Gino is obsessed with her. Jakie is happy when one of her favourite authors comes to stay at the hotel.

14 :02x06 - Series 2, Episode 6

The staff threaten to go on strike when Rebecca threatens to cancel their belated Christmas party. When Rebecca gives in to their demands she ropes Charlie into her organise the party and they grow closer. Tony finds himself in trouble when he attempts to make some changes at the hotel.

15 :02x07 - Series 2, Episode 7

Jackie is jealous of Charlie's growing relationship with Rebecca. Charlie is surprised when his brother shows up at the hotel with heavies after him.

16 :02x08 - Series 2, Episode 8

The staff are shocked when they learn that they could lose their jobs when the hotel faces a take overbid. Rebecca is told that she will be able to only keep two of her present staff.

As his 40th birthday approches Tony looks at his life and a member of a jury staying at the hotel catches his eye. Anna isn't happy when she discovers exploitation in the work place.

When the chambermaids threaten to go on strike, Charlie feels under pressure. He cheers up though when an old friend shows up.

A Hollywood film crew come to the hotel and the staff are forced to deal with the film stars egos. Gino and Ben both compete to try and get noticed by the film's director. Ned invited Anna to spend the weekend in New York with him but she cant get Charlie out of her head.

23 :03x07 - Series 3, Episode 7

Against his better judgement, Tony books a prostitute for a guest. When he learns more about the girl's situation, Tony decides to try and help her.

24 :03x08 - Series 3, Episode 8

When a famous faith healer is held hostage in his hotel bedroom, Jack and Emily find themselves involved in the situation. When Ned tries to be romantic towards her, Anna is forced to make a decision.

25 :04x01 - Series 4, Episode 1

The hotel faces closure. Tony tries to convince an Asian businessman to buy the hotel but not everything goes to plan. A crowd end up in the hotel following a bomb alert in London. A millionaire caught up in the chaos is impressed by the staff's actions and decides to buy the hotel.

26 :04x02 - Series 4, Episode 2

A couple who are both celebrities hold their joint 40th birthday party at the hotel. Anna finds out that they are not as happy as they seem together. Sam ignores Juliet's advise and better judgment when he lets lets two rival boxers stay at the hotel.

27 :04x03 - Series 4, Episode 3

The staff take part in a treasure hunt around the hotel searching for valuable emeralds claimed to be hidden there. Gino finds himself being conned by a man staying at the hotel. Tony discovers that a former film star staying at the hotel isn't quite as she seems.

28 :04x04 - Series 4, Episode 4

Emily's estranged father shows up at the hotel and she wants nothing to do with him. Before leaving he insists that there is something that he must tell her. Sam gambles the hotel and comes out the loser. Tony meets somebody who looks just like him.

29 :04x05 - Series 4, Episode 5

The staff are sent on a team-building course by Sam to improve their performance. Sam's plan doesn't go as he hoped when Juliet is forced to resign. A guest at the hotel makes eyes at Gino. Valuables go missing from the hotel after Juliet and Ben attempt to help a homeless man.

30 :04x06 - Series 4, Episode 6

The hotel has managed to secure an exclusive magazine deal to host a Royal wedding with an Italian magazine called Certo!. Juliet is surprised when Sam plans to press ahead after the wedding is canceled using the hotel's staff as the wedding party. When Juliet finds out that Sam needs the money from the deal to pay a tax bill she decides to help him. Gennaro Fazio, the magazines editor exposes what they are to though.

31 :04x07 - Series 4, Episode 7

James and Gino are are asked to organise the extravagant funeral of a VIP guest . If the event is a success Juliet tells James that he will gain a promotion at the hotel. An old boyfriend of Juliet's checks into the hotel and wants to give their relationship another go. Sam becomes jealous and ends up having a one night stand with one of the hotel's guests.

32 :04x08 - Series 4, Episode 8

One of the country's most exclusive dating agencies holds a romantic event at the hotel. Julia runs into her old friend Karen. Sam invites Juliet to join him on a trip to Hawaii. Sam learns a secret about Juliet from Karen. Tony finds himself in trouble. Ben decides that receptionist Mel needs a makeover.
