At Princeton, Sarah Lozinski gives birth to her daughter. Afterward, her husband Donald goes to get food while their son Walter is less than thrilled.
Chase is paged to the lobby and finds Cameron waiting for him. He asks to meet somewhere private.
Donald returns to the room and discovers Sarah and Walter asleep. He goes to check on the baby and discovers that she's missing from her crib. Cuddy calls the police and meets with Donald, who confirms he was only gone 15-20 minutes. The microchip in the bracelet on the baby's ankle didn't set off the proximity alarm, meaning that the girl is still in the hospital. Cuddy calls for a hospital-wide lockdown.
Cameron asks Chase why he won't sign the divorce papers. She has them and asks him to sign them, but he wants to discuss their marriage. She puts down the papers and goes, only to discover that she and Chase are locked in.
Hadley and Wilson are locked in with other staff in the cafeteria, while Taub and Foreman are sealed in the records room. House is ordered into a patient's room.
The police question Sarah, who suggests that they talk to Nurse Smits, the floor nurse.
Hadley and Wilson end up playing Truth or Dare.
Cuddy talks to Nurse Smits, who explains that Walter pinched the baby when he held her.
Foreman discovers that Taub is reading the staff credential files that are down there to be digitized. Taub wants to look up everyone's files but Foreman disagrees… until he realizes that they can look at House's files.
House finally talks with the dying patient, Nash, and realizes that he's on morphine but his heart disease prevents it from taking effect. Nash knows who House is because he wrote to him about what was initially tooth pain. He wonders if House feels guilty for not taking the case, but House that there's only so much of him to go around.
Wilson asks Hadley about her sex life but soon finds himself behind.
Sarah insists that Walker wouldn't steal his baby sister, but then admits that the boy has been getting into violent fights recently.
Chase wondered what happened between Cameron and House that led to her leaving him, and she points out that she didn't kill a dictator. When he persists, she points out that he's not going to logic her into coming back.
Taub and Foreman read House's files but discover that he faked all the malpractice reports. Foreman has some Vicodin he took from a user in the clinic and suggests they get into House's head by taking several pills.
As House rubs his leg in pain, Nash explains that he's a classic professor and House figures he has no friends. He warns that Nash will suffer excruciating pain and offers to unfasten the regulator so he can pass out and die in peace. Nash refuses and suggests that House is the one who wants to numb himself.
Hadley and Wilson continue to play Truth or Dare and discuss that her father supported her and made tea when she came out. She asks him if he's dating anyone and he says that he isn't now. When Wilson tries to ask personal questions about Foreman, she refuses and he tells her to show her breasts to Taub, because it would be too exploitive for her to show them to him. She agrees, but notes that it may be sometimes far in the future.
Cuddy talks to Walker, who admits that he hates his sister. However, he insists that he didn't abduct her.
House continues to suffer from pain and Nash offers his morphine. The doctor explains the pin is migrating and Nash speculates that he doesn't want to get tested because then it would confirm the pain is coming from somewhere else. The professor figures it's a woman but House realizes that he's projecting. Nash is eager to know what time it is and House realizes he's not taking the morphine so he'll be awake.
Taub and Foreman get seriously stoned and start punching each other to see if they can feel their faces. Taub finds Foreman's personnel file and realizes that's why he came down there. He runs off with the file as Foreman chases after him.
Cameron finally agrees to discuss their failed wedding and Chase asks if she ever loved him. She admits that she got cold feet repeatedly and Chase points out that he could never match up to her dead husband. She finally admits she didn't know if she loved him, and Chase thanks her for the straight answer.
Hadley asks Wilson about when he hinted he will be dating someone. She realize that he's hiding something about his love life and when he refuses, dares him to steal a dollar from the register.
Taub reads through Fofreman's file and discovers he was on academic probation for faking a lab result. Foreman wanted to win at everything and beat the elite kids, and Taub notes that it was stupid because he had good grades. He points out that the fact Foreman had to destroy the records 12 years after the fact proves that Foreman doesn't think he should be at Princeton. Foreman responds by finding Taub's file and the chase is on.
House figures Nash is waiting for some lost love, and the professor explains that it's his daughter, Gracie. He left the family when she was six after he had an affair with a student, because he couldn't handle marriage. He gets House to reveal his secret: he met a woman at a psychiatric hospital who changed him. Then she left. He figures they should be alone rather than suffer, and that the future won't change. Nash agrees, but notes that the past might have been different.
Wilson convinces Daria the cashier to go the kitchen to make a chicken sandwich for Hadley. However, he sets off an alarm and everyone stares as Daria returns.
Chase admits that he's fine now that he knows that he didn't do anything wrong because Cameron never loved him. She insists that she did love him, but not in a way that would work because she was too broken. They both admit they're sorry and Chase signs the divorce papers.
Hadley apologizes to Wilson, admitting that she lied. Her dad didn't react to her being bisexual and having Huntington's because she never told him. She claims she just goes out while her father stays at her house. When Wilson points out that she's suppressing her personal life for someone else, Hadley notes that he's the same thing with House. Wilson finally admits that his first ex-wife, Sam Carr, contacted him and Wilson is wondering whether to date her. Hadley figures he's not worried about House, he's worried about getting serious with his ex-wife.
Cameron and Chase discuss what they missed about their marriage, and how Chase will never hold her again when they dance. He turns on some music from his player and they dance.
Foreman reads Taub's file and is surprised to learn it's perfect. Taub admits that he'd rather have Foreman's record, because now he's nothing but a fellow working for people years younger than him. He points out that Foreman's life is trending up.
Cuddy has no news about the missing baby. She goes to see a sedated Sarah, who asks if she has kids. Sarah then explains that she adopted Walker and wonders if she can't love him the way she loves her daughter. When she bursts into tears, Cuddy goes to the bathroom to get some tissue and notices that there are twice the normal number of towels. She tells Smits to check the laundry logs, but they notices that Nurse Adrienne Maldonado is standing, partially paralyzed. Cuddy realizes that she's having a pilomotor seizure. They figure she's been having complex seizures all day and functioning on autopilot… meaning she could have taken the baby.
Cameron notes that they never had a proper goodbye. She kisses him on the cheek and he kisses her back on the mouth. She then goes to the door, locks it, and starts to undress.
House tells Nash it's 9 o'clock and hands him the phone. Nash dials Gracie's number but gets her answering machine, but can't bring himself to leave a message. House notes that he isn't surprised and figures that he delayed so he wouldn't have to talk to her. Nash agrees and explains that he just calls sometime to hear his daughter's voice. He doesn't think he has any right to need her, given he wasn't there for her. House says that he's a hypocrite and tells him to tell Gracie what he needs to tell her. Nash leaves a message that he loves her.
Cuddy backtracks Maldonado's path and finds the baby in her cart. She returns the baby to her family.
When the lockdown is ended, a naked Cameron and Chase reluctantly realize they have to leave.
Wilson tells Hadley he asked Hadley to dinner. When he asks if she's going to go home to talk to her dad, Hadley says he's staying at a hotel. Wilson realizes that she lied so that he'd call Sam.
Foreman leaves without his file, and the two men agree not to say anything about what happened. After Foreman leaves, Taub destroys Foreman's file.
Nash is ready to accept House's offer concerning the morphine drip. The professor dozes off as House tells him he's sorry he didn't take the case. Nash says that he's sorry too.
As Taub leaves, Hadley walks past and flashes him on the way out.
