A Princeton physician, Dr. Penza, tries and fails to save a patient. The body is taken to the morgue where the pathologist, Dr. Peter Treiber, goes to work. He confirms that the woman had an undetected myocardial infection and Penza misdiagnosed, giving her steroids which aggravated his patient’s condition. He checks his board of all of the Princeton physicians and notes for the recording that it’s Penza’s third misdiagnosis this year. As he prepares to open up the corpse’s skull, Peter suddenly puts the scalpel to his own head. When an orderly comes in a few seconds later, Treiber is bleeding from the skull and complaining that he feels cold...

Episode Quotes
Dr. Wilson: And tomorrow I'm driving to Cleveland to meet my boyhood crush.
Dr. House: The years have not been kind to David Cassidy.

Dr. Wilson: Thought I'd make a road trip. 80s music, junk food, beer..
Dr. House: I have a dental appointment... that I'm going to make now.
Dr. Wilson: Ahh, I will let you drive.
Dr. House: Not worth it. You whine about your feelings and fears in three days.
Dr. Wilson: It's not gonna happen. I have taken a vow.

Dr. House: You don’t want to talk about it.
Dr. Wilson: No, but obviously you do.
Dr. House: So, we’re gonna talk about it, but because I want to.
Dr. Wilson: I am neither talking about it, nor talking about not talking about it.

Dr. Wilson: I blew it.
Dr. House: Oh, God, here it comes.
Dr. Wilson: As always. All I wanted was some meaningless fun. I couldn't even last three days.
Dr. House: Sound asleep. I'm sleep-talking.
Dr. Wilson: I had the chance to fulfill a life-long dream.
Dr. House: Swear I will jump out of this moving bus if you don't shut up.

Dr. House: It's been fun.
Dr. Chase: Fun?
Dr. House: It sounds pithier than, "We've shared a variety of situations."

Cultural References
Dr. Wilson: Julie Christie. Dr. Zhivago. Shampoo.

Dr. Zhivago (1965) starred Julie Christie as a Russian mistress. Shampoo (1975) had Christie as the lead character's mistress.

Dr. Wilson: If we had a phone, you’d be making calls, downloading porn, and playing Angry Birds.

Angry Birds is an Apple game app where players launch birds at pigs.
