After a 12 year old boy is convinced he is cursed because a Ouija board revealed to him that he is going to die soon, his father, who just so happens to be major financial supporter of the hospital, makes unbelievable demands of House and his team as they struggle to find a diagnosis for his symptoms, which include a rash and a week long fever. Chase becomes outraged when House invites his father from Australia to help him with his diagnosis. House is shocked to see that Chase and his father are not close at all. After House finally diagnoses him, the boy begins to believe that his father might not be so truthful after all.
House: A secret club? What's the secret – they're all morons?
Dr. Wilson: Even I don't like you.
House: You know, words can hurt.
Dr. Chase: How would you feel if I interfered in your personal life.
House: I'd hate it. That's why I cleverly don't have a personal life
House: Oh, you never run out of thingies...like that blonde thingy you were chatting up.
Dr. Wilson: She's the hospital accountant! We were going over billing procedures!
House: Double-entry bookkeeping?!
House: (talking to a Vicodin pill)
There you are. Were you scared? It's okay, you're home now. (swallows it)
The problem here is that this episode was originally supposed to air the week after Detox
(according to the production numbers), so it makes no sense that House is now beginning to take the medication again because clearly he was taking it in episode that originally aired the week before this one ( Sports Medicine
). It's obvious the shows were not show in the correct order.
