House Hunters: Boston Couple Has Big Money to Spend

Jen, a financial consultant, and her husband, Jeff, a banker, are looking for a bigger home in the Boston suburbs to raise their three boys. With a budget of $800,000 to $1.2 million, they want a home with four bedrooms all on the same floor, and a large play area for the kids. But, that's all they can agree on. Jen is set on buying an older home with character that's move-in ready, while Jeff wants either a new contruction with all the bells and whistles, or a fixer he can modernize to his tastes. He also doesn't mind spending more, while Jen wants to stay towards lower end of the budget.
