New Yorker Dawn Sheggeby, a successful book editor, lives in the artsy East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. This trendy neighborhood suits her fun lifestyle, and although she has labeled her apartment "The Party Pad," she is not thrilled with living right next to one of the city's biggest nightclubs. She has decided to take the plunge and buy an apartment in a quieter neighborhood with hopes of getting some sleep in "the city that never sleeps." And she wants to do it in time for her 40th birthday! Her friend and realtor Kevin Meath agrees to help with the hunt.
