Marshall estimated Barney's sexual activity to have started at age 16, but we have previously learned that Barney lost his viginity at age 23.

Marshall makes a chart of "people who are breaking my heart and people who are shaking my confidence daily". This is a song called "Cecilia" by Simon and Garfunkel.

The yellow umbrella Ted takes with him when Robin says it's going to rain, is the one he took from a bar in episode 3x12 "No Tomorrow". It was insinuated that this umbrella belonged to the mother (Ted's future wife).

The gang has an intervention for Marshall's excessive use of graphs and charts. The use of interventions is a tradition that started in episode 4x04 "Intervention".

When Marshall is trying to stall the meeting while waiting for the charts, he begins talking about fish. This is a reference to episode 4x18 "Old King Clancy" where we learn that Marshall once performed an awful stand-up comedy act about fish.
