Architect of Destruction - Recap

One of the major topics we covered this week on How I Met Your Mother is the fact that Ted is really quick to say "I love you" when it comes to a relationship. This is called the "Mosby". Ted and Barney are doing some business in Barney's office. They are talking about the fact that the site has finally been selected for where they are going to put the new building for GNB. They find out that they are going to have it built where a historic building is. This building is called the Arcadian Hotel. This building had all of the fanciest people that would go there and hang out many years ago.

For some reason, Ted has decided that he is not going to be able to do the building. This is perplexing to all involved as this is the job that Ted has always wanted to do. Lily and Marshall are at home in their room. They are getting ready to get down and dirty with one another. Lily tells Marshall that Robin would really like to have a double date with them and her current beau Max. Robin really digs this guy despite the fact that he comes up short in the length department. Marshall feels uncomfortable by her telling him that kind of information about a fellow dude and fears that that will be all he thinks about when they hang out with one another.

The gang meets up at the bar. Barney and Ted are fighting over building on that piece of properly. Marshall keeps thinking about the fact that Max has a tiny man stick and acting weird around Robin. Robin realizes that Lily told him about the small issue. When Robin calls out Marshall, Ted and Barney react in the same way that he did when they learn the same unfortunate information. Lily thinks that they're hypocrites because it is fine to talk about boobs but not their parts?

Barney and Ted are still arguing about the building. Barney claims that newer is always better. Even new Star Wars films, Guns and Roses, and even scotch. To prove his point he ends up ordering and drinking grape scotch. He claims that the new Star Wars movies have intergalactic trade law which makes them better. He also says that Axel Rose has matured lyrically so the new Guns and Roses is much better, too.

Barney soon realizes that the reason Ted has decided to fight against it is because of a woman. This girl is named Zoey. She is played by Jennifer Morrison (House, MD). He feels she is pretty much perfect. She's interested in architecture as much as he is. She is really funny and beautiful which intrigues him. What he doesn't know is that she is absolutely crazy. He met her while she was protesting the destruction of the Arcadian. He lies to her and tells her that he is a vet.

He gets harped on about it and there are reasons for this that don't just revolve around the fact that he lied. They are mad because he always molds for whoever he is currently interested in. He has taken on interests such as being an adrenaline junkie, becoming a civil war renactor, and a magician! He calls them hypocrites because Barney always pretends to be something he isn't to bag a girl.

Robin, Max, Lilly, and Marshall are on their double date and all Marshall can think about is the fact that Max has a small penis. There are a lot of awkwardly vague moments between Marshall and Max and he has no idea what's going on and why Marshall seems to feel bad for him.

Ted is at home and Zoey shows up with rabbits that she saved from a lab. She figured that he could check them up. She has been arrested multiple times. She's nuts, but Ted doesn't see it. Ted meets up with Zoey at a protest and she is happy that he's there to help. Ted picketed his own gig. There then comes a billboard with him on it and it says who is rebuilding! This is when she realizes that he's a liar and she loses it. He then goes and quits the project due to it.

Barney says that despite his quitting it's still going to happen. Ted soon learns that she is married and no longer cares about her or the building. Marshall and Lily are still trying to get pregnant. He can't do it because he keeps thinking about her gossiping with Robin. He gets up and leaves while saying that she should call Robin.

It turns out that things aren't really over with Zoey. She eggs his house with a bunch of fellow protesters.
