Movie Night - Recap

The scene opens with the campers getting ready for bed and Chloe tells how a famous actor is dating someone from the movie they are in together and Will tells that the actor is gay. The girls get offended and Sariah is offended that Will has to ruin the moment all the time and that her stories are not true just like the one that she told that Dr. Rand called the chef her dad. She tells that Sariah would never get with the famous actor and she cries. Amber tells that she never read the books and Chloe tells that she needs to read the books before seeing the movie. Meanwhile, in the Staff meeting, Dr. Rand is telling that kids are complaining about a sore throat so that they could get salt. Poppy keeps finishing her sentences and Rand tells that they are putting it on their food. George enters and Rand tells that there is a no sleeping bag rule because there was an incident with two campers being in the same sleeping bag. Rand tells that they need to watch their kids and make sure that no prolonged kissing is happening. Back in the cabin, Chloe is telling the whole story of the books. Amber has George’s hoody still and Chloe asks if she is ever going to give it back and teases her for it. Becca is writing in her journal and tells if it is private, then she writes in Ruins. Becca asks if Will is going to go the whole summer without talking to Ian. Will tells that she can go longer then that and that she is used to not talking to people.

At the dinning hall, Ian is in line and sees Will sitting down. He tells Alistair that he is sick because confrontation makes him sick. They sit down and Dr. Rand tells that it is movie night and the choices of movies are not to the campers liking but they have to choose one. Ian writes a note on the back of the piece of paper. Trent tells that he and the guys are leaving and Chloe tells that Trent is hot. Amber is a little irritated. Ian gives Becca the note and asks her to give it to Will. Outside the dinning hall, Will reads Ian’s not and it says that he needs to write a song with Will. Dr. Rand is visited by Wayne again and he is going to put up the fence. Rand thought he was going to hire someone else to do it. He tells that it is not a problem and that he will have it done quickly.

George is teaching a CPR class and teaches the campers the proper techniques. Amber goes up to George and gives back his hoody and there is obvious tension between them. Trent and Chloe are in a paddle boat and Trent tells that he can’t get Ian’s song out of his head and tells that it was really good. Chloe sees a wristband around Trent’s wrist and asks what that is about. He tells that it is a reminder to always work out and get the body he wants. Chloe tells that Trent looks nice. Will goes up to Ian and asks why he wants to write a song with her. He tells that he has never written anything good until reading her words. Back in the cabin the girls talk about sex and who has done it all the way. Will and Becca talk about what Ian said and that Ian wants to write the song. Will starts to think that Ian is not freaked out of the words at all.

Rand goes into the kitchen and asks her dad if she could get some iced-tea to give to Wayne. She starts to rationalize the reasoning that she is giving the tea to Wayne. Joe tells that Rand is beautiful and that she has a right to have feelings towards Wayne. Rand takes the iced-tea to Wayne who has the poles in for the fence already. He tells that he doesn’t mind helping her out and asks what movie they picked. He suggests “Phantasma”, the movie that all the girl campers like. He tells that his daughter made him take her to it and it was really good. Rand asks about his daughter and he says that she is from his ex-wife. He takes off his shirt and Rand smiles, despite the fact that he doesn’t have an athletic body. In the day room the campers are playing games and Trent uncovers a drum set. George and Poppy are going through the votes and George laughs that they have to protect the campers from having sex. Poppy tells that it was her that found the campers and they were having sex with each other. Dr. Rand takes a quiz to see if Wayne is “into her” from the magazine that Joe was looking at.

In the boy’s cabin, Piznarski asks Trent if he and Chloe are an item and George comes in an attempts to tell the boys to fight any “urges” they might have and they laugh it off. Will is outside and Ian walks out to meet her. Will agrees that they can right a song together and Ian tells that he wants to write a love song but not a cheesy one, but true. Rand goes up to see Wayne and he is almost done with the fence and he points out the “”forget me not” and gives Rand a copy of “Phantasma” on DVD. Rand talks to him and tells that she is not interested and she is sorry that she has been sending him mixed signals about that. He tells that he gave her an invoice of the fence under her door and she walks away. Will is getting herself “freshened” up for her “date” with Ian. She goes up to Ian and he is playing his guitar. At the last second, she gets scared and runs off again.

Movie night begins and everyone is getting their popcorn and blankets. Chloe tells Piznarski to sit with Amber so that she is not alone. He agrees. Ian stops by Will and Becca’s blanket and asks why Will didn’t show up. She tells that she had things to do but still wants to write the song. Will tells that she believes Ian that he didn’t read her journal and Ian wants to go sit with Amber. He walks up to her but Piznarski already is there. Ian runs off. Trent meets Ian and asks where he is going. Ian tells that he needs to go write a song. The movie starts and the campers see that it is “Phantasma” and are happy. They start watching and Chloe notices that Trent is not there. Alistair sits next to Will and Kizarski starts to notice another girl in the camp. Back in the boy’s cabin, Ian is playing and Trent walks in. He wants to play the drums and create something like Ian does. Back at the movie Piznarski touches the other girl’s hand and Alistair gets interrupted from the movie by Chloe. She asks if Trent heard anything about her and asks if any of the guys are telling that it was her in the sleeping bag last summer. She tells that she got what she want from him and he got what he wanted from her. Disgusted, Alistair walks away. Rand looks inside the envelope that Wayne gave her and it is a “forget me not” inside. She gets up and says that she is tired. Amber looks around and sees that others are kissing and looks back at George and he is talking with Poppy. She gets up. Piznarski starts kissing with another girl. Will writes down quotes from the movie.

George is cleaning up around the camp and sees the “forget me not” that Rand dropped and sits next to Poppy and tells that there is a not of anxiousness. Poppy shares that she is not interested in anyone because she never felt feelings for anyone. George notices Amber is gone and says that one of Poppy’s girls is gone. He tells that he will go find her. Chloe walks up toe the boy’s cabin and finds Trent drumming. He spots her and Ian and Trent stop playing. Trent goes out and Chloe asks if he likes her. He says yes and they kiss. Ian sees it and is jealous a little. George goes up to Amber and he gives Amber the flower he found and runs off. Will runs up to Ian and tells that she got inspired. She tries to run off but Ian tells that he can’t read her handwriting. She reads the words to the song and starts singing the song. She tells that Ian can get a lot of girls to fall in love with him and he hugs will and says “Love is a nightmare”. Back in the cabin the girl that kissed Piznarski is mad at herself for cheating on her boyfriend. The rest of the camper go to sleep and Amber cradles the “forget me not” that George gave her in her hands and goes to sleep.
