Poker Face - Recap

The scene opens up with the campers getting ready for the day and the rumor of the weigh-in and one of the girls screams. There is a bug and all the girls are screaming except for Will and Becca. Will grabs a shoe and Becca tells that they need to get a cup and not kill it. Will scoops it up and gives Becca a high-five for teamwork. Dr. Rand tells the staff that they did a great job during the absence of Shea and that George did a great job at the Spirit Quest. Shea comes in and tells that her daughter Roxy has Meningitis and that it was horrible but she recovered. Poppy goes up to George and she tells that she has not told Dr. Rand about what happened at the Spirit Quest about the kids going missing.

Shea is back with the exercise program and pushing the campers to the limit. Trent is too focused on Chloe and Piznarski, wanting to get attention, tells that he had a dream about Shea last night and he does an interpretive dance to it. Shea jumps down and tells Piznarski and the others to do sit-ups. Piznarski apologizes to everyone. Afterward George is cleaning up and Amber offers to help. He tells that she doesn’t have to but she tells that she wants to. George calls over Becca and tells that she has her Native American book. Amber tells that she likes Native Americans. Becca tries to tell Amber what the book is about but she is too busy watching George clean things up.

Jo is in the garden again and Dr. Rand tells that it is for the campers. He tells that they have been keeping to it. He asks her is Shea is back and Rand tells that she is and that her daughter is alright. Jo asks about Roxy and Rand is shocked that he knows it. She asks if she is that hard to talk to. Jo takes off his flannel shirt and has a tattoo of the name Joyce in a heart. Rand sees it and walks away. At the circle meeting the campers talk about their feeling and Ian tells that his family is expecting high expectations. Dr. Rand tells that everyone should just try their best. Amber walks up to Ian and thanks him for sharing and that she can relate to what he is going through. Becca and Will are walking and Becca tells that she is excited because she is feeling that she is getting healthier. Will tells that she hates the meetings and that it is useless. Ian runs over and tells that Amber talked to him and Will is not that happy. Ian asks if Amber talks about liking anyone and Becca tells that she doesn’t. He asks them to throw his name out and see how she reacts to it.

It is a raining day and the campers are hanging around in the day room. Trent looks at Ian longing to jam out with him again and is sitting with Chloe and watching the Bachelor. Piznarski looks at Trent and Chloe getting comfortable and leaves. He walks up to the table where Joe is showing Alistair how to shuffle. The next scene shows the campers gathering around playing poker with macaroni. Shea walks in and yells at Joe. He tells that it is only macaroni. On his way out he tells that he is glad her daughter is alright. Later in the cabin, Trent is telling that he lost weight and Piznarski tells that he can’t see it. Amber goes to the cabin and waits outside. The boys see her and George tells that he’ll handle it. Thinking it is for him, Ian looks happy. But Amber wanted to go by and borrow the book. He tells that she needs to go back to her cabin.

The next morning George tells that during the Spirit Quest, two girls went missing and right away Rand knew it was Will. She tells that she will need to speak to Will and Amber about it and tells George that she can see it. Paranoid, George asks what she sees and Rand tell that he is making an impact on the kid’s lives. During the run, Ian wants to know if Will sent Amber to the cabin for him. She tells that she did not. Piznarski is messing around again and Shea gets in his face about it and makes him cry. Afterward, Will tells Ian, Becca and Alistair that it was mean of Shea to do that. They see two staff members bringing the scale and they talk about the weigh-in. Ian bets Will her hat that she has lost more weight than him and she tells that she doesn’t care about it. But when she looks at the scale, it is a lie.

Chloe and Amber are sitting around and Chloe tells that Amber should read her treaty of beauty from a Seventeen magazine. Amber reads it and signs her name to it. Poppy comes up to Amber and Chloe and tells Amber that Dr. Rand wants to see her. Amber and Will are outside Rand’s office and Will asks if Amber is in trouble. She tells that she hasn’t done anything and Will tells that she hasn’t done anything either so it must be nothing. Dr. Rand invites Amber in first and tells that she knows that Amber has worked hard to be there at camp and asks if running away from camp was an accident. Amber tells that it was and Rand asks if there is anything more. Amber tells that is all. Rand invites Will in and tells that she knows that the running away was an accident and tells that Will has shown change. Will keeps to her attitude and says she hasn’t. Will is messing with something in her hair and Rand offers to help her. She gets the pierce of cactus out of her hair.

Trent talks about the weigh-in to Ian and tells Alistair not to worry about it and then calls him Athena from the Spirit Quest. Ian takes it as he was making fun of Alistair but he tells that he likes the name and tells Ian that Trent is a nice guy and tells that they talked. George and Shea talk and she tells that she cares about the kids and that is why she yells at them. Dr. Rand walks up and tries to leave but Poppy invites her over. She tells that she doesn’t drink and Shea tells that she doesn’t either as she has a beer in her hand. Dr. Rand takes the beer and tries to talk to Shea about her daughter and there is a lot of tension. Shea tells that Rand never told that the chef was her father. They go silent and Rand tells that she is getting eating alive and Shea agrees and leaves.

Dr. Rand goes to Joe’s cabin and yells at him that he was gambling with the kids. He tells that it was for fun and she reminds that he gambled away all the money and that she was left with her mother alone when she was 11 years old. He tells that she is not acting fair and Rand asks about the tattoo of the name Joyce on his arm and he walks out. The next morning, Dr. Rand sees that Joe is still there and he tells that he has a job to do and he is not going to give up on the kids just because he is mad at her.

Weigh-in time and every camper gets their turn on the scale and some are happy, some are sad, and Piznarski tells that he lost 8 pounds. Ian gets on the scale backwards and doesn’t read how much he gained or loss. He goes up to Alistair and tells him to destroy his results for him because he doesn’t want to know and he feels great. Becca comes out feeling good and Will is ignoring everyone. Will walks up and rips up her results in front of Rand. Amber goes up and she has lost 1 pound but goes out and tells Chloe that she lost 6 pounds. Later that night the girls are celebrating and Amber is sad about her weight and goes for a walk. Will tells Becca that she doesn’t want to be infected with everyone’s happiness and storms out.

Amber is walking around and George sees her. He tells her that he is sorry that he kissed her and that it can’t happen. Amber thinks that George is dumping her because she is fat and George tells that any guy would be lucky to have her. They kiss and George says that they can’t do that here. Will is walking around and sees Amber and George making out. She slowly walks back. In the dayroom, Trent and Chloe are kissing on the couch. Shea is on the phone and Piznarski sees her cry when she gets off the phone. Ian and Will sit around and he asks about Amber and if she found out anything. She tells that she hasn’t yet. Ian steals Will’s hat and they play take-away. In the cabin, the girls are discussing tactics to use for next weigh in and Chloe tells to pee first she tells that she learned it from the televison show and she tells that relationships are built on honesty and that she told Trent her weight and he told her his weight. Becca is checking herself out in the mirror and the episode ends.
