Birthdays - Recap
The scene opens with George and Amber kissing and they tell that they need to be careful. George reaches under Amber’s shirt and she gets offended that he is touching her stomach. They tell that they can meet in the morning before anyone wakes up. Meanwhile, Dr. Rand and Wayne are eating wings and he tells that tomorrow night they are playing a movie and Rand tells that she has a program to attend. Wayne offers to go with her. Rand gets back and Joe is there. She teases that he was staying up for her. Joe tells that he is happy to see that she is happy. He leaves and Jonathan texts her and asks when he can see her again. Amber comes back into the cabin and everyone is asleep. All except Will.
Then next morning the campers gather around Chloe with noise makers. They blow them and yell Happy Birthday. It is Chloe’s birthday and they give her a crown. Dr. Rand tells that they just had a weigh-in and everything was good. She tells that they need to keep trying and to avoid anything that might sabotage them or their progress. George and Amber look at each other. Trent walks up to George and tells that it is Alistair’s birthday and he tells that he is on it. At breakfast, Chloe tells that she wants to invite Carter but not Sierra to her party. She asks Trent on the drink situation and he tells that there is a counselor that will buy them booze and tells that Piznarski is looking into it. Becca tells Will that there is a full moon out tonight and that they could do Runes. Will agrees and Becca is shocked. Will tells that Becca’s nerdiness is contagious. Trent asks Chloe what her family does for her birthday and asks who else was there for her birthday. Amber interrupts and says that they should play “I have never ever”.
Ian and Alistair are walking back to the boy’s cabin and everyone yells Happy Birthday. George tells that Piznarski needs to do Alistair’s chore and give him a card. Trent asks what he got for his birthday. He tells that he wanted the “Sky Dancer” dolls and that his parents got him G.I. Joes and other boy stuff. He tells that they gave him presents expecting someone else. Ian tells that his parents gave him “7 habits of highly effective teenagers”. Later at workout time, Becca tells that she is going to wear her cloak tonight and Will tells that she is going to as well. Ian comes over and tells that he has the bridge to their song and that he will play some of it for her later. George comes over and tells them to start working out and tries to correct Will’s form. But she tells that she has got it. Chloe talks about the gifts her friends got and Trent asks if there were other people at her party besides her parents. Chloe catches on and knows that Alistair talked. Trent jokes and asks if she is related to Shea too. Piznarski tells that they have no beer for the party. He tells that Chloe has the same birthday as a boy in their cabin. Chloe runs off and Trent asks what her problem is. She asks Trent what Alistair told him and he tells that Alistair told that Chloe and him don’t hang out anymore.
The girls get back to the cabin and Poppy tells that she needs to speak to Amber right away. Thinking she is in trouble, Poppy tells that everyone is signing the card. Poppy uncovers under her bed and Amber sees that Poppy has beer under her bed. At dinner, Trent invites Ian to Chloe’s party. Ian walks over to Will and Becca and tells that he got invited to Chloe’s party and tells that tonight could be his chance to get with Amber. Will tells that it is his loss and Alistair comes over. He tells that he is really good at risk and Will tells about the Runes that they are going to do but Becca tells that it is girl’s night. Later everyone leaves for the party and Amber stays behind. She grabs the beer from underneath Poppy’s bed.
Amber gets to the party and shows Chloe a thermos. She sniffs it and is happy that Amber got alcohol. She tells that she took it from Poppy’s stash and filled the bottle with water to hide that she took anything. They start drinking and sit around. They play the game “I have never ever” and Ian comes up. Meanwhile in the day room, the other campers are gathered for game night and Poppy tells everyone to play. George tells that he is trying to hide and so he participates too. Back at Chloe’s party, they are drunk but Ian and Trent refuse to partake in the fun. They switch it up to True or Dare and Piznarski dares Amber to kiss Chloe. They laugh and kiss. Their turn. Amber dares Piznarski to kiss a boy. Piznarski tries to get out of it and Jake tells that he is secure in his sexuality and will kiss him. Amber tells that she has to leave. Chloe and Ian go with. Piznarski doesn’t like it and Carter tells him to kiss Alistair. Trent tells that it is not a good idea but they are determined to want to see Alistair’s face. Amber has thrown up and Ian offers to escort her back to the cabin. Chloe gets back but all except Trent are gone. Trent tells that Piznarski has been dared to kiss Alistair and she is mad that he let them go.
Ian escorts Amber back to the cabin and she hugs him and thanks him for helping her. Will is inside and Amber is puking. She asks if she is sick and Amber tells that she drank too much. Will tells that she asks if George got the beer for them and tells that she saw her and George. Amber begs Will not to tell anyone and she tells that she will not. Amber pukes again and Will sees it her duty to stay instead of meet with Becca to take care of Amber and has her lay down. Meanwhile, the party from Chloe’s goes to the day room and Carter gets Alistair’s attention and he goes outside to see Piznarski. He asks if Alistair is gay and he tells the he doesn’t put a label on what he is or not. Piznarski kisses him and Chloe and Trent, who join before they could stop it, feel bad. Alistair tells that he is flattered but he likes someone else. Piznarski tells that it was a joke and Alistair sees Chloe. He and she start to cry. Alistair runs off and Chloe gets upset too and runs off.
Dr. Rand is at her meeting and Wayne is there too. She tells that she is grateful for the award for being celibate for 7 years. Wayne is there as well to see her. Ian walks up to Becca who is waiting for Will and he tells that she probably had something else to do. Ian tells that he had a weird night. Trent and Chloe talk and Trent tells that he wishes he had a twin. Chloe tells that camp was her place until Alistair wanted to come too. She was mad. Wayne drives Rand back to the camp and he tells that he loved her speech. He tells that he wants to get to know her and he kisses her. He asks her out again and she says yes. She looks to see who called and it is a text from Jonathan again. Back at the cabin, Amber and Will talk about George and her and Amber tells that she likes to be cared about and Will tells that they need to be more careful. Becca comes in and Will tells that she was with Amber because she is sick and Amber confirms it. Becca tells that it is not a problem and Will tells that next time she is in.
Back at the boy’s cabin, Piznarski doesn’t understand Chloe’s attitude and Trent tells that it was still wrong. Ian wants to know what they did to Alistair. Suddenly Alistair walks in and Trent tries to apologize and tells that Alistair can punch him. He climbs into bed and Ian tries to talk to him but he doesn’t want anything to do with them. Meanwhile, Rand is in the back with Jonathan in the truck and they had sex. She feels bad. The next morning Amber gets up slowly to go meet George outside. George walks up and tells that she doesn’t have to be scared and that it is just him. But it is not Amber but Dr. Rand. He asks what he should do if a camper is trying to sabotage herself and Rand tells that he needs to set the example. George catches up to Rand and tells that he is going to go back to camp. Meanwhile, Amber is waiting for George still.
Alistair is looking at Trent’s card and it is certain that he is the boy that Alistair likes. Ian walks over and asks if he forgave the boys and he tells that he did. Amber walks up and Poppy tries to give Amber a happy attitude and she tells that she is upset that something that is supposed to happen and it doesn’t. Poppy thinks that Amber is upset for boating being canceled and she tells that that she wants to go “boating” again while looking at George and runs off. Poppy tells that Amber needs a hug and runs off with her. Later, Becca and Alistair are reading Runes and he pulls out a blank one and Becca tells that it is good and that it is all about Fate and that it will reveal itself later to his question about love.
