Recap
Winston is pondering the agency's newest case: Christopher is traveling to a monastery, posing as Brother Mitchell. He decides to start at the beginning and talks about how John Gray was the inside man for Sam Fisher, the vicious leader of a gang of thieves. Gray infiltrated museums and found likely targets, and Fisher and his men stole the items. However, Gray fell in love with a museum employee, Emily. He had a chance of heart and called in the police, and then slipped away with Emily. Fisher was sent to prison but en route, he escaped with his men. Gray has gone into hiding but has written letters to Emily, revealing he's gone to a monastery in Quebec. Emily hires Christopher and Winston to find and protect Gray. She insists that Gray had no choice but to turn to crime because he grew up on the streets. Winston warns that Gray might not be sincere about his redemption, but Emily insists that he's a good man and needs Chance's help...

Episode Quotes
Winston: Now, me, personally, when I think of vows of obedience and silence, I don't exactly think of Christopher Chance. In fact, the two are sort of like oil and water.
Christopher: So why hide out in a monastery?
Winston: Don't know.
Christopher: Well, there's got to be thousands of them. Why that one?
Winston: Don't know. What, you don't like "don't know" now? I thought "don't know" was your favorite part of this job.
Christopher: No, you had me with heavily-armed crew invading a remote monastery, but that's just me. "I don't know"--that usually scares the crap out of you.
Winston: Ahh.
Christopher: Okay, now you're really creeping me out.
Winston: Now, I have to admit, I was a little bit nervous about Chance on his own in a place of worship. As long as I've known him, I haven't seen him set foot in a church either. I guess he's not much of a religious man. At least, that's what he tells me. Truth be told, I'm not sure what the guy believes in.
Winston: Now he told me you knew a chopper pilot out of Montreal—I need him here, fast.
Guerrero: Well, I know who he means. That guy's not really an option. We had a falling out.
Winston: Well, can't you apologize?
Guerrero: Yeah, if I had, like, a time machine or a hell of an Ouija board. Listen, you're gonna be fine, man. You're, uh… capable.
Winston: Capable?!? Hey, who the hell do you think you're talking…
Guerrero: Gotta go.
Thug #1 / Hammond: You hold your gun like a cop. From what I understand, cops don't go around shooting people.
(when he goes for his gun, Winston shoots him)
Winston: I'm retired.
Christopher: Defuse the detonator!
Winston: How?
Christopher: You've done it before, like in Miami. Remember that thing? The cruise ship.
Winston: That wasn't me!
Christopher: Are you sure?
Winston: What do you mean, am I sure? It wasn't me! I wasn't there. It was probably Guerrero.
Christopher: What about that thing in Detroit?
Winston: Oh, yeah, that was close. Also Guerrero!
Winston: Let me get this straight. You got a ring that opens a very expensive book that we don't have. So in other words, it's just gonna be another piece of junk gathering dust on your shelf.
Christopher: Maybe. Maybe there's something else out there that it opens.
Winston: Oh, that's a hell of a plan. Hold on a second. Yeah, maybe it unlocks next month's electric bill. You know, maybe a car note, or maybe the mortgage to this damn place, you know?
