A motorcyclist pulls up to a demolitions manufacturing laboratory and watches as Ames and Brody Rivera, pretending to be a young married couple, enter and tell the security guard that they're lost, and that Ames is pregnant. The guard agrees to let Ames use the bathroom and buzzes her into the restricted area. Once she's alone, Ames removes a pack of explosives from beneath her shirt and breaks in. The alarm goes off and the guard goes to investigate. Once he's gone, Ames lets Brody in.
A few seconds later, the couple blasts a hole in the side of the building and leaves with a pack filled with experimental explosives. They flee in a car, and the motorcyclist follows them. As they drive, Brody asks about her new job, but she doesn't want to talk about it. They finally pull over, and Ames tells Brody to get out and they'll meet later. As Ames drives away, the motorcyclist follows her. She tries to outrun him without success, and she finally pulls over. The motorcyclist approaches the car and she attacks him… and then Chance subdues her, removes his helmet, and notes that she took his wrench. He asks what she's doing there.
Back at the office, Chance and Winston confront Ames, and explain that they realized she was lying when she stole Guerrero's tool. She explains that she and Brody raised each other, and that they're still close.
Brody goes to a warehouse to meet with his boss, Andre Markus. Markus and his lieutenant Yuri finishes beating a man, and Brody says he has what Markus needed and he wants to settle up.
Ames insists that they can trust her, and finally says that she pulled several jobs with Brody. He got nabbed on a job and took the fall for her, and now Ames figures she owes him. Ilsa comes up on the elevator, and Chance tells her that she has to tell their boss the truth. When Ilsa comes in, Ames takes her aside and gives her own explanation.
Markus asks Brody if he and Ames want double their pay for a new job that night.
As Chance and Winston watch, Ames feeds Ilsa a story. Chance admits that he can understand Ames' feelings. Ames and Ilsa come out, Ames having claimed that she had boyfriend trouble. Before she goes, Ilsa warns her that if her personal life complicates things, she'll be out.
Later, Brody meets Ames on the docks and tells her that he has a big score. Ames insists that she made a commitment… until she hears it's for seven figures. Meanwhile, Guerrero, Chance, and Winston secretly watch her, and Chance wants to see if they can trust Ames. A car pulls up and Brody tells Ames that he already committed them. Markus gets out, and Guerrero and Winston both know he's a major bad guy.
Markus says that he needs someone slim who can handle a state-of-the-art security system. Ames agrees and Markus says that they'll meet with the rest of their team. They all have code names, and the couple will meet with Boise, Memphis, and Chicago. Chicago is en route by from Vegas. The guys watch Ames leave, and Winston figures that Ames has gone back to a life of crime. Guerrero sympathizes, figuring she doesn't have a choice. Ames calls Chance and tells him that they have a new client: her.
As they head back to the office, Chance suggests that they get involved and Guerrero agrees. Winston isn't thrilled with the idea, and notes that they haven't known her long enough to risk their lives. Chance leaves it up to Winston, and he reluctantly agrees.
Guerrero meets Chicago at the train station and holds up a sign with his code name. When Chicago wonders why Guerrero doesn't know where he's going, Guerrero claims that Markus isn't telling anyone anything. Chicago admits that he's going to Portero Hill, and Guerrero offers him a bottle of water.
Chance arrives at the warehouse where Ames and Brody have already met Boise and Memphis. When Yuri wonders wonder why he's not as big as they heard, Chance bluffs and claims that he's losing weight to bypass facial recognition software. When Ames has a moment alone, she asks Chance how he got there and he claims that he was just in the neighborhood. Yuri begins the briefing and explains that their target is the San Francisco Metropolitan Museum. They're going after the Three Sisters of Antwerp, a trio of diamonds. Winston listens in via Chance's hidden earbud and confirms that the diamonds are on display. He tells Chance that Guerrero had to drive Chicago around town until the rohypnol kick in.
Ilsa comes into the conference room and sees the files that Winston brought up on the Three Sisters. She says that her foundation held a fund-raiser there, and Winston reluctantly explains that Ames is involved. Ilsa wants to call the police, but Winston explains that they have to see Ames and Brody through and bust Markus. She wonders how they can make sure no one gets hurt, and calls Chance on the earbud. Ilsa tells him to let Ames go before she calls the police, and Chance tells Winston to lay it out for their boss. He explains that the only way to get Ames out alive is to go through with the robbery. Guerrero arrives with a seemingly unconscious Chicago and prepares to torture him. Ilsa insists on calling the police, but Chicago breaks free and attacks Winston and Guerrero.
Yuri tells Chance that it's time for him to go to work. Chance calls Winston for information, but he's busy subduing Chicago. With some help from Ilsa, who hits Chicago with his own briefcase, they finally take the crook down. The briefcase breaks open, revealing a silenced gun, and they realize that Chicago is the cleaner.
In the warehouse, Yuri tells Chance to eliminate their prisoner, the museum who brought Markus the plan to steal the diamonds. Chance tries to stall but Yuri threatens to kill him if he doesn't go ahead with it. With no other choice, Chance grabs the guard's neck in a hold, whispers to trust him, and then seemingly throttles the man to death. Once he's done, Yuri tells Chance to kill the entire team except for Ames, who he'll take care of personally. Once Yuri leaves, Chance improvises a defibrillator out of an electrical cord and wine, and revives the man.
Once they get Chicago secured, Winston calls Chance. Chance and the others put on repairman uniforms and get in the van, and drive to the museum. As they get out, Ames tells Chance to protect Brody. As Chance tells Winston what's going on, Chicago overhears them and recognize the name Yuri. He explains that Yuri is also a cleaner, and Guerrero figures that Markus was going to eliminate Chicago as well.
The team captures the guard and ties him up, and then Chance goes with Boise to eliminate the remaining guards. Chance knocks him out, and then apologizes to the guards before knocking them out as well.
In the van, Yuri tells Ames that she'll have to climb through a narrow vent to get to the alarm systems, and gives her a bottle of oil.
Brody and Memphis get to the display room and wait for Ames to get to the alarm panel. Chance arrives and claims that Boise had to use the restroom. Ames opens the garage door and then deactivates the alarms. While Yuri drives into the parking garage and meets up with Ames, Brody and Memphis set up shaped charges around the display case and blast a hole through the floor.
Yuri and Ames start digging through the rubble to get the diamonds. Memphis can't raise Boise on the radio and Chance knocks him out. Brody drops down and Yuri prepares to kill both of them, and Chance drops down on him. Brody insists that they need to get out, and Ames explains that Chance is protecting them. Her boyfriend objects when he figures that Chance will make them give the diamonds back. He drives away in the van, leaving Ames behind. Chance knocks Yuri onto an exposed rebar, impaling him, and then talks to Ames. She explains that she stole the diamonds from Brody, and Chance warns that Markus won't be happy.
The next morning, Ilsa says that she's summoned the museum representative to return the diamonds to the museum, and then Ames is out. Chance notes that Ames could have let with the diamonds, but Ilsa wants to minimize their exposure. Meanwhile, Ames waits in the conference room. Markus calls and tells her that he has Brody, and she needs to come to the train station with the diamonds. Ames tells Chance and Ilsa about the call, and admits that she screwed up. However, she begs them for help to save the closest thing that she has to family. Ames turns to Ilsa, promising that she'll do anything. Ilsa notes the diamonds are worth $50 million, and then says that she'll tell the representative that the diamonds are already on their way back to the museum.
When Ames gets to the station, Markus calls and directs her to one to the lockers. Chance and Winston are in the station, watching, as Markus tells Ames to put the diamonds in a locker. He opens the locker from the back via a dummy panel and then tells Ames that Brody is out in the courtyard. Chance confirms that the diamonds are gone. Outside, Ames finds Brody sitting on a bench. He warns her that he's bobby-trapped: Markus planted explosives beneath the bench. If he moves, they'll go off.
As Markus slips out the back, Guerrero pulls up in a van. As Winston arrives, an angry Chicago gets out of the van, knocks Markus out, and takes him away.
Chance arrives and tells Brody that he's going to get him out of the mess he's in. He tells Ames to leave and Brody agrees. As Chance moves her back, he says he's going to knock Brody on his ass and asks her to trust him. As Guerrero and Winston arrive, Chance takes a running start and then grabs Brody and shoves him off the bench. The two of them get clear as the bomb goes off. Ames embraces Brody and tells him never to stop trusting her, while Chance suffers from temporary deafness.
Later, Brody prepares to catch a ship out of the country, even though Ames offers him a job with the team. He figures that the team will watch over her, and that he's got Ames to watch over him.
At the office, Ilsa congratulates the team and says that the diamonds are back where they belong. She admits that she has a lot to get used to, and walks away as Guerrero arrives with a bottle of Scotch that Chicago sent as thanks for Markus. The three men share a drink and wonder if the place is better or worse since Ilsa took over. Ames comes in and says that she knows she's not working for them. However, she wants to thank them for the second chance, and then says that she might mess up but she'll watch their backs no matter what. When they don't say anything, she starts to go. Chance invites her back to share a drink. Ilsa comes in and notes that Ames is an inveterate liar… but she's loyal, and that's what Ilsa wants. She asks for a drink and shares a toast with Chance, who calls her "partner."
